After having some lunch I was in the mood for some frozen yogurt. Qoola is one of Vancouver’s more famous self serve yogurt chains. This location is found inside the Westshore mall towards the west part of Victoria. One of the strangest things I first noticed about this place was how you get samples here. A employee literally stands in front of the machines( ) with sample cups pouring samples for you. Quite different than any yogurt place I’ve visited, where we are trusted with that ever so important task ourselves. I’m guessing Qoola got tired of people wasting yogurt all over the place when getting samples. Any how the place is relatively on the bigger side for a small yogurt shop with lots of seating inside. Not only do they offer self serve yogurt here, but they also have WanaWaffle brand waffles for you to pile your yogurt on. The waffles didn’t look fresh; they looked pre made and simply warmed up, but a cool concept non the less. There seems to be a large waffle craze going on lately. As well as waffles to add to your yogurt, they also offer lots of toppings including nuts, fruits, and various candies. They had ten different flavors here with a mix of fruity and sweet ones. The swirl of vanilla and cookies&cream was my favorite, especially topped with some oreos( ). At 60 cents per oz, it really wasn’t the cheapest yogurt but it did taste very good. I really love when frozen yogurt isn’t overly sweet like you’re eating a huge mound of sugar. Qoola defintely proved to be a great yogurt place to stop at.

Lots of fro-yo flavour options, including a No Sugar Added flavour that is always on tap. Fun toppings & plenty of choices to make a fun dessert. Just beware it can add up quickly since your treat is charged by weight.
