Absolutely the best espresso on Vancouver Island. We visited in April 2016 and found this fantastic coffee shop. The husband and wife owners were so kind and friendly. It’s just a short walk from the Capitol building.

Smoothest cappuccino I’ve ever had. The gent who made our drinks took his time and was methodical with technique. The beans were tasty and the biscotti was delicious!

We wandered in off the street and glad we did. Really friendly service and great latte and cappuccino. Small place with limited seating. Two outdoor tables where we sat face the street and are good to watch the world roll by.

By far the best coffee in the city. A little hole in the wall, I walked past it several times until a friend pointed it out and took me there. Always the friendliest service, easy people to talk to. They do take their time to do it right and will happily correct if the order is wrong for some odd reason. So, if you’re in a hurry, put your patient hat on, this is not Starbucks, it’s waaay better. The regular coffee is made with a double shot of espresso, I didn’t like espresso till I came here! The GF carrot muffins with icing are a great addition when desired.

New ownership (local couple) is horrific. Was going to stop by for a coffee the other day and heard them berating another customer! It’s a long way from the tab-​friendly community atmosphere it used to have. Will a plethora of other locally owned coffee shops in the city, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Street Level is THE best place to get coffee down town. It’s totally locally owned and opperated, only locally roasted coffee beans are used, the coffee is ALWAYS delicious, and the baristas are always friendly.

Small downtown coffee shop, that’s locally owned and operated.
The coffee is superb, and the staff friendly. Only a few muffins or croissants so not a place for much more than coffee and chats with friends.
I would recommend to anyone who works or lives in the downtown core!
