Amazing service, delicious food. Recommend halibut anything and the salmon chowder! The fish and chips were stellar!

The very best fish and chips. Fried at correct temp and not a bit greasy. The fish flaked apart and was moist yet hot! I’ll definitely come again the next Tim I’m in town. B

During a recent stay in Victoria, we found ourselves at Fisherman’s Wharf when The Fish Store was doing their«buck-a-shuck» oyster thing(a «Happy Hour» offering, between 4 – 5 pm), and thought we would give it a try. For this, our first taste, we ordered six oysters, plus, a lemon sauce. The oysters were tiny, the sauce a total ‘yuck’(and they actually charge for the sauces there!!). For us, it was definitely no thanks to any further tastings. On a side note: did enjoy watching the seals and otters doing their thing off the wharf!

The fried oysters were amazing. They were perfectly fried. Also, can’t go wrong with«shuck for a buck». The oysters were very fresh. Mmm

The best fried oysters and deal for buck a shuck oysters in town! Their salmon chowder three ways is spectacular and a must try! They said they had sushi grade salmon and albacore tuna. When I’m back in Victoria, I’m bringing a knife and cutting board to try it out!

What a great experience! The food were delicious and fresh. Service was quick too. We enjoyed watching the seals while eating our meals. I highly recommend this place to others who don’t want anything fancy but definitely tasty.

The location is pretty fun with great scenery. We stopped here for a quick lunch. Ordered the fish and chips(cod and salmon) and the Bleu Cheese Poutine. This was my first experience with Poutine and it was very tasty and filling. The fish and chips were decent but have had better. Next time in Victoria, we will try them again and try some of the other selection of food.

Tried their version of Fish n’ Chips. I was a bit disappointed, it wasn’t as good as I thought. In short, average. Worth a try if you’re curious but there are better spots to go to like Red Fish Blue Fish…

The Good The setting is great, seat yourself on a bench along the boardwalk and enjoy! Try the fish and chips. We shared a salmon and cod combo that was really tasty and fresh! Friendly staff and harbour seals too! The Bad A little on the expensive side compared to Barb’s fish and chips right next door. The Ugly None. Return for More? Yes, but to try other menu items.

Walked down to the Warf on our evening in Victoria, we swung by here right before they closed and got some amazing food! Loved how they have fresh fish options, just ask what is fresh and they are more than happy to give you all kinds of info about it. We had the fish and chips and poutine. The fish was light, fresh, and had a great batter. The poutine did not have a gravy instead it was a curry like sauce with a variety of cheeses, the Gorgonzola was a little over powering but everything else was amazing.

Absolutely freshest oysters shucked while you wait. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. A must try for visitors to Victoria. You’ll also enjoy the atmosphere of the wharf.

Savory, steamy, overflowing bowl of oyster stew is more than enough to satisfy any seafood lover’s appetite. I had 6 big oysters in my bowl. Yum! Returned for another bowl near closing. Don’t be surprised if they shut the door on your face right at closing time. They apparently don’t need the extra business. Unfortunately, I still have to give them 5 stars awesome stew.

All I can say is «Buck a Shuck» daily from 4 – 5 pm Oyster selection for Buck a Shuck changes daily I believe so some days they may be small but last time I went they were HUGE. For a buck an oyster you cant go wrong. There is a place serving $ 0.50 oysters on Fridays but they are those little tiny ones, I would much ratehr head down to The Fish Store. And if you have a hankering for fried fish, well Barb’s is right next door :)

I thought it was good. I had the Halibut Sandwich & it was ok. There wasn’t a lot of halibut in the sandwich would be my only comment. My wife had the Halibut Tacos and she said they were very good & the sauce was good. The location was excellent, very excellent. It’s a relatively small area, but the houseboats were very interesting.

Often overlooked by the Bard’s crowd, the Fish Store is in a sense a hidden gem of seafood that you should look forward at Fisherman’s Wharf! Here, you can get fresh local seafood either at its raw forms for you to cook yourself or cooked forms for you to enjoy on the spot while admiring the beautiful scenery. That being said, everything on the menu is expensive so expect to pay a lot or not planning to eat your whole meal here. No matter what though, you should get something(anything!) here. Coming in half-full, I brought an order of steamed clams covered in garlic butter, and it was one of the best clams I had. If you are hungry, try the steamed crabs here! Although it’s one of the more expensive items on the already pricey menu, it’s a popular item among the dining crowds and seemed like everyone enjoyed it. Also, oyster happy hour 4 – 5PM!

We found this place because we saw a couple of locals eating delicious looking fish’wiches on the other side of the harbor. It was just as good as it looked! The halibut was cooked perfectly, seasoned nicely, and came together great on the sandwich. This is now on my must stop list when in Victoria.

What a wonderful place to have a lunch. Very pricey but pretty good too. I had the single halibut fish taco and a medium chowder. Total price for both was about $ 15 but what do you expect from fisherman’s wharf in Victoria Harbour? The taco was delicious but maybe be a bit saucy. I’m sure a cheaper fish like cod would have tasted equally as good. The chowder had bits of salmon and small chunks of smoked salmon. Would have like to have seen more seafood or bigger pieces of salmon — not bits of leftovers as it looks. Otherwise, very tasty.

We had to be back on our cruise ship by 5:30p, so we stopped by The Fish Store last. Luckily for us it was happy hour! Buck a shuck oysters everyday between 4p and 5p. Yay! Since our on board dinner was at 5:30p, we ended up just getting 1.5 dozen oysters to share at $ 1 each. The sauces are an additional $ 0.50 each for cocktail sauce, hot sauce, ginger mignonette, preserved lemon mignonette, cucumber and jalapeño mignonette and pickled red onion mignonette. They also have freshly grated horseradish for $ 1. I ended up picking the cocktail sauce, hot sauce and freshly grated horseradish. The oysters were fresh and creamy, but didn’t quite have that oceany brine that adds flavors to the oysters. I think it adds a nice contrast to the citrus from the lemon and the sauces. These oysters lacked that. 18 oysters and 3 sauces for $ 20. Not a bad pre-dinner snack! I only wish they served alcohol at Fisherman’s Wharf since a cold beer would have been a nice addition.
