Edelweiss (La Station De La Vallee) Ski

Ok so I have gone skiing here in the past but this review pertains to the tubing! I was there recently with my family for night tubing. When we were there from 5 – 9 (we did the 4-​hr tubing), three of the 6 hills were open. The hills were all very smooth and steep so we had a blast.
What really made heading out to edelweiss worthwhile was the conveyor belt that transports you and your tube to the top of the hill. It was great! No lugging the tube yourself.
The staff operating the lift and the hill were also wonderful and a lot of fun. I mean, who wouldn’t be happy hanging out on a ski or tubing hill all day, but they made it fun for the tubers. They offered to spin or push you, let you race your friends on other hills and we’re very assuring when our nervous friend asked about safety.
We are now planning to make tubing at edelweiss a yearly post-​Christmas tradition.
P. S. The food was quite good as well. I would recommend the poutine.

Although this ski hill is the highest elevation closest to Ottawa, the runs are still quite short. Courses are really weird and often have dips and uphill spots which as a snowboarder is not fun. Prices are a little high, especially for half days. Food and drinks were also overpriced and service was terrible.
I think next time, I’ll spend a little more and drive out to Mont Tremblant.
