Food and service is good. The only problem I have with it is that they often have crime shows playing on the tvs which show real crime scenes, not kid friendly :(

Way too expensive for what you get. $ 13 for a burger combo. Outrageous. Same meal costs half the price at their U.S. locations. Nice atmosphere and your food bring brought to your table is a nice touch, but Carl’s Jr would be better off realizing what they are, fast food, and pricing their menu accordingly.

August 9, 2015. I have made my first trip to Carl’s Junior Charbroiled Burgers. The experience I had was mediocre at the best. I didn’t have any obvious complaints outside of slightly overpriced value. The food was good but not exceptional. The Chriscut fries on the poutine was like eating quarters of potatoes; was very soft and not crispy. Personally I’m not a fan. Overall I gave this place a three star rating because I feel that it’s average. Personally I would prefer to pay a little more and acquire a good meal at a roadhouse restaurant. This place gives a fast food experience with restaurant prices.

What I like best about their burgers is the bun. The bun MAKES the burger. The meat itself is dry and like a bad McDonald’s patty. I got the ½lb portobello mushroom burger which was close to $ 10. And If I’m paying $ 10 for a burger it should be hand-made, not frozen. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant. It is just WAYTOOEXPENSIVE for what you get. I realize this is no fault of the manager, but of the franchise itself.

A new US chain for the region. The«special» burgers are big and priced that way. Was decent, but not any better than the typical McDonald’s or Burger King. Would stop on again if I was on the area — unless the Sausages Cart was parked out front on the public square — in which case I was clearly not come in for a generic burger!

The burgers here taste like they came from Burger King, but for some reason the prices are about a third higher. Wait, what? Well the burgers are a LITTLE bit bigger. The fries suck just like at Burger King. They might taste even a bit worse. I can’t think of a single reason to go here over say your regular fast food option like McDonald’s. I’d go to the nearby The Works for something a little more premium since they have some pretty unique and gourmet offerings.

Absolutely amazing. The flavours are great. Definitely the best fast food burger around.

I was excited to see this supposedly great chain expand into Waterloo. I thought it was something worth trying. If I can summarize what Carl’s Jr tastes like, it’s overpriced Burger King food. Their sizes are one size smaller than McDonald’s. So a McDonald’s large is a Carl’s Jr medium. I ended up with a medium fry and medium drink that were a lot larger than I expected. The fries were okay… they were your typical average frozen fast food fries. The burger was nothing special. It was just an over-priced version of a Burger King Whopper with cheese. Maybe the other specialty burgers are worth it, but then you’d be spending $ 15 – 20 per person and might as well go to a formal sit down restaurant. In summary: Meh.

I’ve been wanting to try Carl Jrs for a long time, finally we have one in Ontario! This was a really great burger. I had the BBQ Texas Burger. It was incredible, the fresh made buns really add to it too. I will be back here over and over. Note.this is not a typical fast food… if you’re looking for a value menu price, then go to McDs. This is quality, along the line of 5 Guys. But so worth it!

Being this well-known American chain, I made it a point to visit this location. I won’t be doing that again. The food is fine: burgers are fresh and delicious, fries are meh, rings are good. But holy mother of god is this place *grossly* overpriced. My family of 4(one of which was a 2 year old girl) cost north of $ 50! So while the food is delicious, you can still get better for *far far far* less.
