This place reminds me of Pusateri’s in Toronto, with the rustic Italian feel. They have rows and rows of imported goods, and many of the exotic, but closer to home brands. Sandwiches are great here — the amount of deli meat on one is closer to 2 inches thick… delicious and filling. Definitely love coming here.

Amazing desserts and sandwiches! It’s a gourmet grocery store so on a student budget, I definitely wouldn’t be going there often. Their desserts are amazing and they have a great variety and selection. The Napoleon is definitely a stand out as well as their cupcakes and macarons.

IF you want some good sandwiches that are cheap, you gotta go here. They also serve coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the back café. The hot chocolate is just right. Not overly sweet and it isn’t watered down.

Love love loveee. My heart just fluttered the moment I stepped into Vincenzo’s. Pasta, cheese, gelato, sandwiches, fresh produce… The list can go on. This small grocery store is crowded and is packed with lots of food and ingredients that I thought I would never be able to get in Waterloo. The variety of pasta they carried was impressive as well. I got a fair amount of seafood agnolotti pasta for a good price. The selection is also huge for their dried pasta as well. Squid ink pasta anyone? I would say that it similar to Toronto’s Pusateri’s but with fairer prices.

Unique products and probably one of the only places to find truly Italian grocery fare in KW. Subtracted one star as prices are a little steep for some products that can be found much cheaper in the Hamilton area. Overall, this place rocks!

Very crowded place, literally. Many shoppers and the place is relatively small compared to how many products they carry. I love their sandwiches :) speaking of their sweet treats, they have 14 different flavours in macaron which is actually a lot of choices. Some of them taste quite complex and layered and intense which is an impressive surprise. But they are really really sweet as well that I need a lot of coffee to balance the sugary.

As pointed out by many reviews, Vincenzo’s is likely Waterloo’s finest quality grocery store. Their fresh pasta and sauces are amazing, as well as their prepared foods. They also have a great selection of ingredients other grocery stores in the area do not carry. Be warned: do not go during lunch hour… it’s always extremely busy and congested.

Love this place! They have a diverse variety of food and groceries. You can get a custom made personal pizza for $ 5, sandwiches with your choice of freshly sliced cold cuts for $ 6, sushi, a hot foods table, salad bar and a delicious pasta bar every Thursday. The pasta bar used to be better I’ll admit. Their pasta was cheaper and used to be filled to the brim of the container. Now it’s only about half full but I’d still recommend it. Cost of everything has gone up so it’s only understandable that their prices would too. It’s still as delicious! This place also has a big selection of cakes, cheeses and cured meats, perfect for a charcuterie board. They sell lots of different European products and a million variations of a product you can choose from. Maybe not a million, but a lot. You can choose from a wide variety or mustards, oils, chocolates, rice, tea and coffee just to name a few. Definitely check Vincenzo’s out if you’ve never been!

Pros: This list could go on for a while. Basically it feels like a modern take on a village market in little Italy. Among their many many choices they have amazing $ 5 sandwiches, tons of fresh baked goods, sushi, gelato, and a hot food counter with different specials daily. Cons: Because it is so well liked it gets very busy around 11:30 — 1:30 for lunch. You might end up waiting an extra 20 minutes during those times and feeling claustrophobic due to overcrowding. Verdict: An amazing place well worth the crowded atmosphere and wait during the busy times!

As someone who was used to living near a large Italian grocery store when I lived in Vancouver, I knew I had to find a new place to get my Italian food(and chinotto!) fix. Imagine my pure joy when we discovered Vincenzo’s. As soon as you walk in the door, the smell of a thousand meals hits you. It’s a bit of a sensory overload walking through the tightly packed aisles brimming with every imaginable European delicacy, but it’s an experience every Waterloo resident must take in at least once. Since initially discovering Vincenzo’s, we tend to frequent the deli section the most, and find their selection of meats and cheeses to be top-notch. Most recently we tried the German wine salami, and it is to DIE for! The only thing I wish they had was the ability to buy cheese sliced up the way you do with the meats. You can only buy it in chunks or grated at the cheese counter. But regardless, we love picking up some crusty Portuguese buns too, and making our own panini at home. As for the rest of the store, we haven’t really gotten to experience it due to our limited budget. But from browsing, we’ve determined the prices are obviously a bit higher than what you’d pay at Zehr’s or any other grocery store, but you’re getting QUALITY at Vincenzo’s. For example, we bought some fresh lasagna sheets from Vincenzo’s: pack of 10 for $ 5. You can easily find boxed, dried lasagna sheets at any grocery store for half the price, but you’re paying for quality. We’ve been here at least a dozen times since moving to Waterloo in late August ’14, and I imagine we’ll be back just as many times in the coming months.

Love this place. I’m a big fan of their bakery and the collection of bagels. The cream horns and the Nepolian cake is a must try.

Love Love Love Vincenzo’s. The first time I went in there I felt like a little kid in a big candy store, when I saw all the goods they had in their bakery section, I was already in love. Then I got one of their wraps and it was so delicious and great for the price. And then there comes the café where they sell gelatos… amazing flavors and the taste was phenomenal, I wish I lived closer to Vincenzo’s so I can do my grocery shopping there too and of course eat more of their gelatos. It seems that they have everything there that you would ever need(food wise). Definitely recommend and have recommended to my friends.

Epic deli and market for all your Old World European food cravings. Spectacular selection of cheese, cured meats, breads, antipasto, pasta, sauces, etc. Prices are surprisingly reasonable given the quality and the atmosphere.
