CC’s Dugout

Upon being recommended by friends to try this restaurant a few times, we thought the evening had come for a great dinner as well as a great atmosphere! We were sadly disappointed! We had made reservations and our friends were sitting in a booth when we arrived. That part was great. We ordered drinks which came very quickly, also nice. Then we ordered from a very expensive menu and thought well the food must be fabulous. Not so, our dishes were tossed on the table at us about five minutes later. Pasta was well over cooked and my husbands plate was floating with excess water. Our stuffed eggplant special was a very dry piece of meat of some kind sitting on a very small slice of eggplant with a piece of cheese on top and smothered with sauce so you couldn’t see it wasn’t stuffed. My husband responded about the water when the waitress asked how things were and she said she was sorry and left. No effort to correct the problem. When she went by later my husband asked her to have the kitchen have a look his entrée… they drained it a bit and put a few extra noodles on top… no sauce. Soon after a waitress went by, slammed a reserved sign on our table and kept going. We thought we had made a polite request… I guess not. Will not be returning it was an awful dining experience. I couldn’t believe my husband actually left a tip!

Best Italian around. Worth the trip.
