The veal Parmesan and seafood stew was 5 star eating. Everything was extremely tasty and well presented. The décor is a nice rustic feel with great finishing sand a comfortable atmosphere. The service was fantastic and friendly. Loved every moment. It is closing for the fall and winter but re opening in the spring. We will be sure to come back and hit their sister restaurant East and Main.

Visited on a busy Sunday evening in August. Service was friendly but muddled. Drinks took a very long time to arrive(too long), dishes weren’t cleared on time and the mains arrived then were taken back to allow for the table to be cleared. The food was very nice, not the best Italian I’ve tasted but still very good. I always seem to write«take away the service bobbles and this would be a 5 star review» when I write about restaurants in both PEC and Toronto. Given that most restauranteurs re-locate to PEC from Toronto, this is likely the source of the problem. After returning from a trip to the US in which we dined at a variety of establishments from casual to fine dining, service stuck out as being quick and efficient at nearly every place we chose. Perhaps Canadian(Toronto based) restauranteurs would be well served by studying US service models and basing their staffing around them rather than Toronto restaurants where service seems to generally be lacking. I know I’m off topic but just a thought and certainly this isn’t just directed at Pomodoro but the restaurants in the County(and Toronto) in general. Will we return? I think so, it’s an attractive space, the food was good and the service was warm and friendly if not terribly efficient. A dedicated bartender is needed if a cocktail menu is offered.

This is an excellent Italian restaurant with the same owners as nearby East & Main. They have some excellent local wines. The place is charming with large wooden pillars and rustic furniture. We visited in March and they were trying out a new menu. In our opinion the menu was a huge success. We got the seafood appetizer(fritto misto) which was exquisite in spite of being a little bit on the small side(2 shrimps, 4 pieces of calamari, 2 pieces of fish, and some veggies). I had gnocchi with walnut pesto and I would strongly recommend it. For dessert I had the chocolate cake, which was very rich and delicious. On the Friday night we visited the place wasn’t very busy, it was about half full, although I suspect that this place fills up fast when the weather is better. It is one of the few options available in Wellington(walking distance from the B&B we stayed at) and word seems to be spreading about how great it is.

Superb Italian food! We initially drove past this restaurant in teeny Wellington, to which I exclaimed ‘oooooo, that place looks good’(because you know, you can always judge a restaurant by it’s building)!!! After spending an afternoon at Terroir sampling every pec wine known to man, we tasted some chicken made by the chef of Pomodoro and decided that was enough to make the return visit to his restaurant. The antipasto plate was incredible, smooth beets, angry, crazy old cheese, lots of olives and bread kept our wine soaked bellies happy until the pasta arrived. I had the butternut squash cannelloni which was very very good and covered in Fontina cheese. I also snagged a bite of my boyfriend’s pork tenderloin which was cooked tenderly with a spicy crust of herbs. Dessert included the cheese plate(we had a lot of wine to soak up, okay? Is there anything wrong with having cheese in every course of your meal?) and tiramisu in a mason jar, which topped our meals off perfectly. Our service was very good, attentive even though the restaurant was packed and is obviously the place to be eating in Wellington. Make resos if you are going on a busy night, my sense is we wouldn’t haven’t been seated if we arrived anytime after 530. If you are visiting the wineries, make sure you finish your trip off at Pomodoro!
