You would think a restaurant on the mountain would have delicious high quality food… The food here is GARBAGE its cheap and gross. The servers don’t make you feel comfortable. You can tell as soon as you walk in that the restaurant and the food is garbage and unfortunately it is

I only come to this restaurant because I am out snowboarding at Cypress. This is the only restaurant up on the mountain other than the food court. So came here and sat down for lunch. Lineup wasn’t so bad but the food was definitely on the slower end. The turnover is slow because of it. I ended up waiting at least a good 45 mins for the food. We ended up sitting near the fireplace area and it was really hot at first. We got them to turn off their electrical fireplace. Food itself is not bad. It seems like the place had too many customer and too less staff to accommodate the people. I ordered the quesadilla. I wish that they didn’t put the sour cream and salsa all together. I personally don’t like salsa that much. I didn’t ask them to get me just sour cream afterward because its not easy to get hold of someone. Plus I do want to get out of here to snowboard. Like I said due to limited of choice. This is the best restaurant to go to.

I was here yesterday(Jan.01/2016) and I found the food and service über-great! I really loved the lemon pepper chicken wings… highly recommended. I even really enjoyed the fries and gravy I thiefted from my bf. I also sampled his turkey blt… also great. We will definitely return

Monopoly has advantages. For decades Cypress had a tired old cafeteria and a long winding road back down to where you could get better fare — that’s it!(not including the Hollyburn lodge but I’m talking about the downhill area now). Finally(during the Olympics) someone put in a pub of sorts at the downhill lot. More importantly is that they see fit to keep it open during hike season meaning you can extend your hike by having a cold one on a nice patio without having to drive and just feeling like you might aswell go all the way home for a shower. We didn’t have food but the beer and pop was good, and really not that overpriced given the monopoly situation(I’m sure it wasn’t cheap to build and maintain that place). I’ll try a burger next time. This place adds value to the area overall as a hike destination.

I must say, this new facility at Cypress Mountain is impressive. The Raven is a fantastic sports bar/lounge feel. The food is pub food, but is fresh and similar to a Milestones or Earls, Moxies, but a more limited menu. I had the spinach salad and their signature one, both are good and very large! The burgers are good too, but they’re skimpy on the fries. Not sure what’s up with that? The waitresses are friendly, but if they’re busy, it can take them a little while to get to you and being a sports bar type of atmosphere, it can get a bit loud. All in all a nice way to take a break from skiing and you can relax by the fireside or in the couches they have scattered about the room. A nicer option than the cafeteria.

A couple weeks back, I went snowboarding for the first time. Afterwards, we headed into the Raven to eat and watch the Seahawks beat the Saints. I was cold, wet, and pretty grumpy. Snowboarding will do that, I’m told. However, our waitress change my mood by being prompt, suggesting tasty morsels, and continuous beer. But her tip shot up big time when she put the tv closest to us onto the Seahawks game. All in all, a nice pub with good views of the mountain. Prices are high, but you are a captive audience for sure.

Boring food, unimpressive selection, draconian management. At least it’s in a nice spot! Not many other choices up there other than bringing your own lunch, but most any other ski hill will leave you better fed.

One star — doesn’t necessarily reflect the food, but please read further to discover why. We arrived on a busy Sunday after a long morning of snowshoeing at Cypress Mountain only to be informed that the restaurant not only gives priority to visitors with daily or seasonal passes, but that we specifically as snowshoers were not to be seated in the restaurant. After discussing this ridiculous policy with several levels of management, we sent one manager off to bring back the mysterious«upper management» who apparently made the policy. This manager had to be coerced into doing so by being informed that since exclusive entry is not something that is promised upon purchase of your daily ticket or season pass, this amounts to discrimination and is therefore subject to legal action. Apparently the policy arises from Snowshoers who come in to the restaurant taking up seats while warming up after their hikes, without purchasing either food or drinks. While I understand the issue, and agree with the management’s right to take action to reserve seating in a VERY busy restaurant, this is somewhat akin to burning down a barn in order to clear up a mouse infestation, where perhaps a few traps might have been enough. A sign at the front door already restricting the clientele to 19 and above should whittle down the number of freeloaders somewhat. An additional sign mentioning that the warm up area is in the large common room, and not in the bar would also decrease that number. But no, it was decided to ban all snowshoers… a burst of creative thinking that must have left some dimwit truly satisfied with himself, or herself, for a job well done. Eventually, we received notice that because we were PAYING snowshoers, meaning we had actually purchased tickets to use Cypress Mountains trails rather than the absolutely FREE trails near the restaurant, an exception would be made and we could enter the restaurant. If there was any other restaurant that served wine within walking distance, you can be damned sure they would have received our business that day. As it was, we entered and were served by Jared who created a great atmosphere and basically made us feel more welcome than the several managers we had so far encountered. He was attentive to us, quick with our order, and our food was very good. Let me point out how ridiculous this policy actually is and the shortsightedness of the person who implemented it. For a licensed restaurant with a server, it is the only choice when you are at the mountain. So all those paying customers opted to use that restaurant because it is the ONLY one there. Now, if that day my wife and I had brought one of our visitors to Vancouver up the mountain to enjoy the view and decided we will grab a drink and a bite at the top, as we very often do, we would have been turned away due to this policy. Paying customers who chose to travel to this restaurant would have been turned away, considered less favorable than a customer who has no other choice. And today, they almost lost our business with this terrifically exclusionary policy. My wife and I have both been season pass holders in previous years, in more recent years we’ve come up and purchased daily passes several times per season for ourselves and family members. All in all, we are great customers of Cypress Mountain, and strong supporters of this gem in our backyard. I’m not sure who makes the decisions on who is running this restaurant, but they may want to rethink that choice once the contract is up. Because you can be damned sure we will be sharing this story with anyone who wants to sit down and hear it.

For a busy ski center this place has very good prices, considering that they serve the food to tables. Highly recommended!

Very nice salmon sandwich. Server was friendly and attentive. I was there on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy, but not too crowded. Nice, convivial atmosphere. You can’t see your gear through the window, so lock it up, or else wonder all through your meal if some punk is going to walk off with your sweet setup.

Your feet are sore, your legs hurt, why not grab a beer and get that liquid courage to tackle a black diamond run. There are a few food options while up at Cypress Mountain. Theres the Gold Medal Café for snacks, coffee or drinks. The cafeteria(2nd floor) which has burgers, soups, fries, etc. And this place, Crazy Raven Bar & Grill. Go with this place, especially for lunch or apres ski. The food is surprisingly good. Nachos are awesome, but they are huge; 2+ people, unless you’re huge, then have at ‘er. Great burgers, both beef and chicken. I especially love the pizzas. While pricey, they rival pizzas I’ve had in Italy. very very good! Nice selection of beer and cocktails. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because its expensive, and the service can be painfully slow when its busy. Generally I don’t care because I can barely walk at this point in the day and need the break, but I should let you know.

Still a decent place to hide from the school groups riffraff that clog up the café next door. The staff are still pleasant and rather chilled out. They have a pretty awesome view! It’s a pricey burger and beer(maybe a little more than last year). Oh well. The free WiFi has a great signal here on this side of the lodge compared to downstairs, which makes Unilocaling all the more possible atop this mountain. Lots of Olympic nostalgia going on here this week. Today was the unveiling of a Maelle Ricker banner in the bar. Not that exciting as she wasn’t there, but the snow was plentiful slope-side. So, I guess I celebrated the anniversary of her Gold medal with acres of fresh powder and no lineups. Win.

A great place to relax and chill with friends after spending the whole morning on the slopes. The servers are nice and very friendly. * Roast Turkey Clubhouse and fries is average. Nothing special. Served with fries, sprinkled with sea salt. * Roast Turkey Clubhouse and substitute your fries for soup of the day for an extra $ 3. Pop/soda refills are $ 1.

Nice ambiance and great view of the slopes. This place is your average burger and beer place on top the mountain. Unfortunately, I injured myself and was left here to chill. $ 6.50 chardonnay and a comfy couch by the fire place, I can’t complain.
