dr hicks is amazing– he has put braces on all my children and we’ve been going to him for years– most everyone we know brings their children to dr hicks– he’s very kind, gentle and incredibly knowledgable– he has very nice staff and his office is always on time to the exact minute pretty much! — keep that in mind, that you will need to take your child often for tightenings, new wires, elastics etc– you do not want them to miss more school than necessary– with dr. hick’s office, the kids are in and out so quickly– there is no dilly dallying, or time wasting, or slow turnover, they are incredibly efficient and prompt– makes a big difference considering how many appointments you will have to be attending–

Dr. Hicks knows his stuff and is highly regarded by his peers. In my experience he did not communicate with or give me the information I needed nearly enough. I had to ask. Gone are the days when doctors just plough ahead with the plan. Patients need, want to be and SHOULD BE included in the conversation. We need to know why you’re doing, what you’re doing and what happens next. He’s pleasant for sure, but not a great communicator.
His staff is great, and are forthcoming with information as much as they know. My appointments were always punctually kept and if I needed a wire snipped they were very responsive even when busy.

Professional from the get go. A plan was presented to us at the start of treatment which outlined everything with details about cost, timeline, and expectations (both ours and theirs).
Waiting room is comfortable and they provide free coffee and reading materials while you wait for the patient. There was never any delay or wait for the appointments as the office runs very smoothly and the doctor sees patients at the appointed time (what a novelty).
Highly recommended if you have need for an orthodontist.
