We walked by this place several times and found this place very busy no matter what time of the day it was, granted you had kids everywhere but that is besides the point. The first time we walked in to peruse and see that they had a fudge station with anything imaginable, a maple syrup display and an ice cream section. On our second trip in, we decided to go for some ice cream to try it and man were portions very generous. The ice cream we had was good and the prices were fair for what we had but I can’t speak to anything else in the store. Give it a shot if you have a sweet craving. Buon appetito.

The wife and I had just finished up seeing the Wanderlust festival with MC Yogi and desired to satisfy our sweet tooth. For me, there are three options in the Whistler Village for ice cream. –Cow’s –Rogers –Rocky Mountain Rocky Mountain is great because they are open late! Plus, you can choose to take your ice cream home in a container. They also give you the option of mixing two flavours together to take in a small container as well. The choices are spectacular ranging from blueberry, strawberry shortcake and toffee. I highly recommend this place.

SOGOOD! omg, i could smell the chocolate from outside and had to go in. I ended up getting marshmallows on a stick covered in chocolate, a white chocolate bar with almonds and Brandon got a white chocolate bar with rice crispies. We ate them all naturally and they were absolutely delicious! You have to stop in here, everything looks so yummy!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is a candy company at the base of Whistler and conveniently located near the Whistler ski school. You’ll find all sorts of chocolates, fudge, and candied apples that will satisfy any sweet tooth. My Overall Rating — 3 ½ Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — It’s a very small shop with some shared seating outside. You’ll also find some large spindle tables out front. Now, the bad news is a small shop combined with parents with over active kids(this reviewer and his kids included), make for crazies inside the shop. As a result, finding what you want, determine where the line is, and placing your order is no small task. It’s not really Rocky Mountain’s fault, it’s all of ours. ½ Star. Service — So here’s how to combat the craziness. If you have kids, let them inside to choose their treat. Then send em outside with another adult(or themselves if old enough) to clear space. Once you find the line and it’s your turn the staff does a great job in getting your order. They fight through the madness, but sometimes some very aggressive parents may jump the line and the staff can do little to combat it. ½ Star. Food — Their candied apples are amazing. You’ll find some great concoctions that you can’t get anywhere else, like chocolates/marshmallows/rice krispies to your«tame» cinnamon and sugar. They also have a large amount of fudge options and great hot chocolate. Don’t expect to eat thing there though, all items are packaged to go due to lack of seating. 1 ½ Star Will I Return? — Yes. Even with the crazy crowds, their apples are amazing and you can’t get it anywhere else. The hot cocoa smells are intoxicating and the fudge/barks a good for a carb rush on the mountain. 1 Star. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score

Great little chocolate shop Yes its a little pricey for chocolate but you really do get what you pay for here. I love the bark BUT the rum and raisin ice cream is why I go back!!!

If you’re in Whistler, it likely means that you’re on vacation — even for just the weekend — so treat yourself to some sugar! You may go in the store with something specific in mind, so watch out for the display of candy apples, which may tempt you from your original course. These come in endless varieties and there are usually 6 – 8 to choose from. Every time we’ve had one, it has been divine — the green apple inside perfectly fresh and bruise-free, covered in the most amazing toppings. Try the«apple pie» flavour :) We also like their fudge and chocolate-covered sea foam :)

Any parent who brings their kids to Whistler and says no to going to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory should be slapped. I will admit the products are a bit pricey but it’s the quality you pay for so if you’re a cheapo hit the road. The candy apples here are epic as the selection range from oreo, cookie dough, marshmallows, and more. Fudge is fantastic as I love the mint chocolate fudge. Little gift bags and boxes cry out to you and say«buy me» Haven’t tried the ice cream but I’m sure it’s great seeing they have a good selection. Staff is super nice and offer samples and I always have to look through the window and watch the guy stir and mix stuff in that cool copper pot.

Candy apples! We got the avalanche candy apple, twice! The chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate pretzel, chocolate marshmallows and dark chocolate ice creams weren’t too bad either.

Peanut butter cups at five bucks each are pricey and fair in terms of taste. I don’t see why they can’t either sell smaller ones or 100 calorie ones like Purdy’s does.(Although when peanut butter is involved, 100 calories is surely a joke, at best). Yes, they taste good, but have you tried eating just half? It seems a bit ridiculous when wanting just a regular portion size. The girl offered to cut mine in half for me, but whatever. I ate one half. And then I saved the other half… which I promptly ate five seconds later. So for that reason alone, I have to dock this a star; as long as I’m going to wear jeans in any colour other than dark blue, «I ain’t buying these no more.» Well, maybe if there is nothing else around. Would you suggest to a crackhead that he cut his daily dose in half? Perhaps the comparison is a bit extreme, but you get the idea. I am not really crazy about anything else here, but then again, I’ve mostly tried things with«nuts» in it. They look great and they all taste good enough. The apples look amazing, but when was the last time that you actually tried eating one? Maybe if you want to break your front teeth. Methinks not. Still, I can imagine if you’ve spent the whole day skiing, mountain biking or hiking, you can afford the extra treat. So, if you’ve never been, for that reason alone, I’d definitely visit while in town for the weekend. But not if you’re just walking around, since it doesn’t really merit the calorie intake in the land of fitness and beautiful people. :)

Just walking in here and taking a deep breath, you gain five pounds! The delicious aroma of fresh milk chocolate takes you to another world. Just think of it as a cartoon character who smells deliciousness and start floating following the aroma. That is how I felt! Such a vast selection of chocolates from all type of candy apple(covered in marshmallow, caramel, Oreos, cookie dough, etc.) to chocolates with creamy insides. Oh and the fudge! WOW! I’m a huge fanatic of Maple and you can’t go wrong with being up in Canada and trying their Maple Walnut Fudge! A-maz-ing!!! Maple is a staple in Canada and the Canadians know exactly what to do with it! The ice cream is also to die for! Hot Sticky Toffee Pudding is very popular in Whistler. We tried the actual dessert in two restaurants. When I saw they had this flavor of ice cream, I jumped right on it. WOWWOWWOW! It was so delicious! Highly recommend it! To anyone visiting Whistler, please visit RMCF! You’ll be here every single day!

Waltzed in on a Monday and a few people were doing the exact same thing I was doing: As soon as I walked in, I was looking at the shelves trying to find something to buy even though before coming in, I thought to myself: yeah, maybe I’ll buy something, maybe not. Truffles, fudge, caramel apples, assorted chocolates, peanuts brittle and ice cream. What to do what to do… My background is, my mom being a cook, at home and at work, she specialized in desserts, but the kind to have people talk about them years after they had it for the last time: «Hey man, your mom’s still making those baklava?». Since I can recall, she would make those more-than-delicious chocolate cakes, those incredible fudges and other desserts that would melt your mind. I never was a huge fan(generally) of those sugar-filled foods. I was reminded a few times that as a kid, I would shovel off the icing on my birthday cakes. I still kind of do. This never really affected my less-than-frequent cravings for sweets. Actually, the only thing I would really crave would be chocolate fudge and maple syrup fudge. I only allowed myself to indulge in those one day a year, but what aaaaa day… It felt like work. I could eat a ton of sweets in that one day. But since I moved out of my birth province to start a new life in British Columbia, mom is far and I’ve only had great fudge when I went«back home». Any other attempt at answering this craving had me have a sad face and an empty wallet after buying flat-tasting and expensive, very expensive fudges at a certain I-will-not-name fudge place in Victoria, BC and other places not worth mentioning. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is a welcomed change since the place I come from is filled with small but amazingly fresh and high quality bakeries, confectioneries, delis(etc etc) and here in BC, they are insanely expensive and too often utterly and disappointingly… mediocre. Put aside the tons of sugar you will eat there(don’t forget that there’s the«no sugar added» option), the list of stuff they can provide for a quick fix(rush) is pretty surprising and all they provide is very good stuff(isn’t that the point of this review?). There is no way that a fudge can be better than this, unless it is made with the heart and soul of a loving mother that has a passion for baking.

One of the many many chocolate stores around Whistler, but you can’t help going into the store and leaving with chocolates. You can’t miss this store, with its big stuff teddy bear sitting outside. There were sooooooo many candied apples to choose from, caramel flavoured to smarties and marshmallow covered. They were all a work of art, I just wanted to stare at them !!! I liked the Sea Foam and Fudge a lot.

Walking into this place is like walking into a glorified, modern version of Willy Wonka’s factory. Trays and trays of candied apples, fudge bars, truffles and more! The smell may just intoxicate you to nirvana, but if you can make it to the goods, grab some and eat to your heart’s content. Just remember to pay before you eat We got a quarter piece($ 4.49) of Tiger Butter Fudge. Smooth, every so slightly creamy, melt in your mouth, sweet, chocolaty, peanut buttery delicious! We devoured the amazing fudge. I will definitely have to come back and try their other fudges! And here’s a tip when buying the fudge: look for the largest piece of that size, whether you buy a quarter, half, or whole piece. If you’re so inclined to get the biggest piece for the price, you can ask the staff to weigh it for you.

What is a good vacation without some great chocolate. We had some great fudge, dark chocolate crisp, and mints. Nothing but great tastes here.

THEREFUDGEISAMAZING!!! I know they are a chain but I swear this location has the best fudge! It is so dangerous having your condo right above them. But I come in and get fudge here EVERY time I come to Whistler. I just can’t resist it and I look forward to it every time. If you never had it before you gotta try it and remember, the soft the fudge bar is, the fresher it is. My favorite is the oreo, mint, old fashion and semi sweet… shoot I love them ALL!

When you walk in, you are immediately overcome by the smell of chocolate — it is addicting! We would give it more stars if possible, but will settle on 5. It’s pricey but worth a treat after a long day on the trails. Try the caramel apples. YUM!

it smells amazing when you walk in. Wooooooo Location: right next to the Whistler gondola. Maybe you can get your expensive chocolate fix before hitting the slopes. Or maybe not. Hah The big difference for this location is that it sells a ‘bear claw’ or something like that. I didn’t personally buy it, but my friend said that people apparently request it as gifts.

Remember the days when Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factories were only in outlet malls? I do. Looking at the prices now I don’t know how they even got off the ground in the market. The product is so so. The people don’t really pay attention to you. Probably a two star except for the fact that I have a weakness for caramel apples and they do those really well.
