This place was amazing. We had been searching for a great margarita in the area and we found it! Also, the pork quesadilla may be one of the best meals I’ve had. Great service and cool ambiance.

Better than decent mexican food in an upscale environment in whistler, I didn’t expect it to be this good after some pretty sad experiences in the village. We went here for a late dinner one saturday night at 9 – 30 pm, and were surprised to see it so full. The restaurant is really well decorated with classy furniture and some cool paintings & artifacts on the walls. Their lighting is really awesome to set the mood. The place is reasonably big so they can accommodate large groups. I believe they had an outdoor balcony seating, but it was pretty chilly so that was shut. I was also really impressed by the service here. Our server was very friendly and patient with our questions, and gave us some good recommendations. She was also very prompt in refilling drinks and checkin in during our meal. I think they specialize in frozen margaritas, and I saw one on almost every table I passed. My friends got a mango and a strawberry margarita, which were huge. They tasted good, but didn’t have the taste of tequila in them. I got a mojito which was tasty, but short on rum. The food was better than average, but fell short of excellent. I got the enchilada verde, which was pretty good but a little tart, and my friend got quesadillas which were excellent. Another friend did the tasting menu, in which the quinoa salad was the highlight. The restaurant was pretty pricey, with cocktails around $ 10 – 12 and entrees for $ 16 – 20. However, the service, décor, and food was good, so we were very happy with our meal. I enjoyed my experience here, and would recommend this place for anyone craving mexican food in whistler.

Stay away if you have kids. The menu is very limited for adults and non-existent for children. The queso fundido gave my son minor burns. The waitress did what she could to accommodate the management’s lack of foresight and the food was good so I’ll give it 3 stars instead of 1.

My wife and I popped in for an early dinner on a weekday night before 6pm. Since it was happy hour my wife got their double lime margarita that was on special. Their happy hour beer was Corona but I was looking for an IPA. No luck there and then I asked about a draft beer and was shut down again as they were changing out kegs or something and only bottles were available. Dos XX it is. With my beer selection finally worked out, we both ordered tacos: my wife got swordfish and I got pork. For our app, we each got a little Mexican pizza like dish(chorizo) that was quite yummy. Next up I enjoyed their tortilla soup while my wife picked their salad. Our tacos were amazing. Very fresh and perfectly prepared. For dessert, we got the churros and found them to be the low point of the meal. Service overall was excellent and attentive.

It’s hard to excel in Mexican food: stewed meats in different shaped flatbreads are not inspiring. Mexican Corner is pretty decent. Fast service, good tacos, a decent Margarita. The flavours of the food were muddled though. Everything tasted like it was prepared in advance and the flavours mingled for a few hours before being served. Overpriced, but that’s Whistler.

This restaurant is way overrated! Food was almost just okay but not even close to being good. The guacamole tasted and looked like doctored grocery store mix. The beans on my plate were crusty which means they had been sitting on the plate for awhile under a heat lamp. Enchiladas were just okay. Very few items on menu to choose from. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Don’t come here expecting authentic Mexican cuisine(this is for those of you from places with real Mexican food), and you’ll enjoy this cute restaurant. It’s great for a date night or an evening with friends. The atmosphere is nice, the service is prompt and very professional, the margaritas are large(our favourite was the tamarind), and the 3-course prix fixe deal is good. From the things we had, the ceviche is just okay, the pulled pork and fish tacos are delicious, and the stuffed poblano pepper is good but *not* worth paying extra in the 3-course menu(it’s not a big portion and the rice side dish is bland). I wish we tried the steak, and the enchiladas verdes also looked promising. For other locations I would say this place is a bit too pricey for its level, but for touristy Whistler it’s reasonably priced. I also really appreciate great service, so that earns them extra points in my book.

I’ve been here once a year for 3 years. Margarita, i get the classic usually. The flavored ones are quite sweet. It’s great service everytime. Sitting at the bar is faster and you can order from full menu. The menu seems limited. Not very extensive, but I guess they stick with what they know. It’s also quite pricy for mexican. I usually get the chicken fajita. $ 18 and very large portion and only 3 corn tortillas. Delicious. I asked for a hot sauce which makes the dish. I think it’s a Chipotle sauce as its smokier. I’ve also had the fish tacos that are decent, but I feel like they taste the same most places I go to. Chips, guac and salsa is ok. You can ask for more chips. I think that the guac has too much tomato. And the salsa has no spiciness… I need a bit of spice! Dessert. Omg the churros are amazing. Comes warm, 4 sticks with caramel ice cream and chocolate sauce. Amazing and I’ll get this everytime! The Kahlua crème brûlée has too thick of burnt sugar, and couldn’t find the Kahlua flavor.

Fabulous! They make awesome margaritas here and my favourite was the mango. They are not cheap but they’re big and so tasty. I ordered the enchiladas verdes and it was superb. I dream about this some nights… Flavours were super authentic and cooked perfectly, just like I had in Mexico. Definitely one of the best Mexican places around, and in whistler no less! My boyfriend enjoyed his surf and turf as well and we both left satisfied and full yet wanting more because it was that good!

Hailing from San Diego I know something about Mexican food. Service was good in comparison to other restaurants in the village and the Mexican food was great. Smaller menu, mainly tacos, quesadillas and some entrée specials. The root vegetable salad was excellent. Would definitely come back here. Note a line does form before opening and the place is busy.

Extremely good Mexican food in the middle of whistler. We had guacamole, fish tacos and chicken enchiladas and churros not to mention margaritas. I would recommend the tacos over the enchiladas. They are cheaper and tasted better. The restaurant gets very booked up so would recommend going earlier than you want and putting your name on the list as they don’t take bookings.

OK Everyone visiting or living in Whistler! It’s me alsmdad!(Instagram, hint hint) So we are from Arizona and have traveled all over the US and Mexico, much of it in the Southwest of the US and all over Mexico, thus allowing us to eat and drink at some of the best Mexican restaurants ever, all have given us such great memories!(Mostly good) After arriving with our children in Whistler it’s time for dinner, our 15 year old says after walking around the village lets go to the Mexican restaurant. I say what? Where? INCANADA??? He says yes right there, up the stairs. I think to myself REALLYCANTHISBETRUE A MEXICANRESTAURANTTHISFARNORTHOFTHEMEXICANBORDER! CANITPOSSIBLYBEANYGOOD? As we walk up the stairs I’m trying to make sense of it all, oh no we are getting closer to the door. As I look in I see that the place is packed and people are standing eating for their name to be called. Yay, maybe the wait will be so long that my family will say«lets go.» Crossing my fingers, I head to the podium, I’m greeted by a very nice tall hostess with a nice smile and brown braided hair, as I tell her I need a table for four I see that all the tables are full. I know what she is going to say«1 hour plus.»(Please lord) Well I was close, «45 min with that smile» she said. I look back to my family and relay the message. I thought for sure they would say lets go. Oh no did My wife just say ok we will wait, yep, she did. There goes my smile. I turn to the hostess who is still smiling and I say OK we will wait, as she is asking my name I glance to the right and see a 4 top table that looks as if the guest will be leaving soon, I turn back to the hostess and say Tony(with a smile) she asks for my cell number, I tell her and with that smile she says«that table will be yours if you like and I’ll text you when it is ready.» I share this with my wife and she says ok but it might be cold from the door opening and closing, true, and go on to say we don’t have to sit there we can wait. Mom says no we will be fine. Ok so it’s a done deal we are eating here. After 5 mins I walk towards the hostess to ask if we can order drinks and she explains that you have to be seated to drink per their liquor license, however your table is ready. I motion for my family to come as the hostess has said you can have that 4 top that was a across from the bar. We sat and it was a bit nippy as Kym my wife daïs it would be. We sat any way and our server who’s name I did not get, but was top shelf with his little Irish beard. Our drink came Strawberry virgin margies for the kids and house for my wife where all over the top. Happy Fam! Happy Dad! Our food came next and OMGREALLY AM I REALLYINCANADAORINONDOFMYFAVMEXICANRESTAURANTSINSOUTHERNARIZONA? NO Todo, we are in CANADA!!! Over the top!!! Now I’m as happy as a a kid roasting s’mores! We have few more drinks, this time I order my wife a Cadillac margi. no ice and our Server is on it with great service.(Great Guy wish I remembered his name) he brings it she pours it into her previous margi glass with ice, BAM it hits the spot. We finish our drinks, ask for our check. He brings us our check, I ask what is the best place to catch a cab back home he tells us and BAM another A+ We go and there is the cab! Love This Place!!! This Mexican Corner! It doesn’t stop there, now my wife and I end up going for happy hour and meet the bartenders Elowyn(pronounced«Halloween ») and Dave, they poured us Great margaritas, stirred up Great conversation along with Great happy hour appy’s! We are in, we spent every happy hour, every day there for the duration of our trip. We felt like familia! With this said, when in Whistler, you have to go and Enjoy THEMEXICANCORNER

Mexican done exceptionally well. Not what you expect to find in a Canadian ski resort, but authentic, well-prepared, and well served cuisine. Prawns and muscles a la Diablo were fantastic, as was my son’s chicken quesadilla. Recommended!

I’m not sure if this is new to the mountain but dinner was very popular on a week night. People were lined up outside waiting for a table. I’d suggest going next door to Blacks Pub if you get a long wait time, and they’ll call you. This is classy style of Mexican but still traditional. It’s not fusion or anything. It’s got a cool looking interior with warm colors and big wood seats. Everything I had was delicious. Really good house made chips and salsa. Good sized portion of chicken enchilada with mole sauce. A lot of places fail at mole. They did a pretty good job. I even had some guac which I’m always iffy on. A lot of places just put up enough quality to get by on the mountain. They went all out.

From Texas so have a high standard for Mexican food and The Mexican Corner definitely out did my expectations. The chicken tinga quesadillas and Mar y Tierra are both super flavorful. Can not leave without trying the churros with caramel ice cream. Worth all the calories. The staff was also very helpful in information about Whistler and things to do. Definitely will be back.

This place gave me a very serious case of food poisoning. Both my girlfriend and I came for 3 days. Ate this the first night, and said goodbye to the rest of the money we spent on the trip as we huddled in our hotel rooms vomiting for the rest of the trip. Disgusting. And three tacos. That’s all it took. I ate the tacos that had a sample of each meat, while my girlfriend had fish tacos. In her case, it was simple diarrhea. In my case, it was diarrhea, extreme stomach cramps, vomiting and just absolute pain. The waitresses were nice though. The food however was mediocre at best.

Oh gosh the food here is good! It’s been almost a week and I’m still craving the tacos. My group made the mistake of not calling ahead for a reservation figuring it couldn’t be that busy in October. Boy were we wrong! But we were happily told by the waitress that it would be 10 – 15 minute wait which is completely reasonable. Unfortunately that was a bit of a low estimate and we ended up waiting closer to 30 minutes. Luckily this was the only real hiccup of the night. I opted for the 3 course tasting menu myself and personally I think this is the best way to go. I was pleased to note that there were vegetarian options in all three courses. I was also impressed that the waitress made sure to inform me that the Aztec soup contained chicken stock when I ordered the vegetarian tacos. Apparently the soup is delicious, but not to be for me. Regardless, I was very happy with the Remolacha Salad that I had in its place. The Harvest Tostadita that I started the meal off with was even better! By the time I finally got to the main course(vegetarian tacos) I was already pretty full but I managed to conquer them. There was a mixup on one of my friend’s meals(okay I guess this is another hiccup) but they ended up giving our group two free orders of the dessert churos so we weren’t made at all(and by the way: try the churos!!)

At first, I was incredibly sceptical. It was our first night in Whistler Village and I found it a little strange that we picked a Mexican restaurant. Boy was I wrong. This place was so delicious, we ate here twice and also came back another time for happy hour. We were only in Whistler for 4 nights. Mexican Corner was like a magnet. I believe their menu is seasonal, but those slow-roasted pork ribs should be on the menu forever. I had to order them both times. We also enjoyed the tuna tostadino and the Aztec soup(which is like tortilla soup). The margaritas were some of the best I’ve ever had. I loved the strawberry and my husband’s favorite was the habanero. I tried the mango, but I’d rank it 3rd favorite. Service was excellent although we didn’t consistently receive chips and salsa, so ask about it. The décor is unique and the restaurant is small. The village wasn’t busy when we were there, but had it been, I’d see if they take reservations. They had some happy hour specials on drinks and it’s definitely worth it, especially after a day on Whistler mountain.
