Place is awesome, sooooo many different kinds of pop and drinks. Only thing is it’s a little pricey.

Lots of cool sodas here from actual good ones to the novelty ones but this place has one problem. The stock is almost always very old, maybe it’s bought up cheap that way because shipping it all in from over the world fresh would be super expensive but the end result is that you often get stuff that’s flat and not very good yet you paid $ 3 or more a bottle.

This place is amazing. They have over 500(!) flavours of pop, most in glass bottles and most made with cane sugar(not high fructose corn syrup like all the«big» brands). Most of these are boutique brands, but you’ll have heard of some like Vernors, Dad’s, Dr. Pepper, Faygo, Stewarts, Jolt, The Pop Shoppe and many you probably haven’t heard of like Virgil’s, Avery’s, Moxie, Olde Brooklyn, Route 66 and WAY too many more to mention. You’ll find orange, root beer, cream soda, cola etc., but also birch beer, egg cream, celery and flavours you’ve never heard of. How about some novelty items like Dog Drool, Kitty Piddle, Black Lemonade, or Monster Mucus. Tips — don’t be in a rush ’cause you’re going to want to spend some time, and if you have a specific need(say, Grape Nehi), call ahead to make sure they aren’t out of stock. Definitely worth the drive to Whitby!

I don’t usually drink Soda… as I don’t feel comfortable with the idea of drinking liquid calories and sugar that is not really good for one health… But when I walked in to Soda Pop Central, I saw the couple hundreds of different Soda Pop collections. calories and sugar content is the last thing I have in mind. I want to try them all! :) Just browsing through their inventory, I really have a really hard time to narrow down what I want to buy. almost all the selections are under $ 2. so it is really affordable! Now I think next time I travel, I will try to look for some local soda that are unique and specials. but for the time being, I will just pick up a few bottle of soda and enjoy! The staffs here are really nice and helpful… asking what I am looking for. I really don’t know what I am looking for. I did not dare to ask if there are some healthy soda she can recommend! :)

Usually when you go to your local convenience store you have the choice of one or two Soda Pops. Without exaggeration, this store stocks around 100 different types! Root beer, cream soda, cherry and even eclectic flavours such as bubble gum, watermelon and Toxic Slime. I walked out of here with six different flavours of Orange & Cream and can’t wait to try them(blindfolded taste test?). I went with friends and was surprised that they both walked out with at least six different flavours each(usually under $ 2 a bottle) so there is something for everyone. This place is a little out of the way but well worth the trip if you enjoy the old fashioned fizz rush from drinking soda in a glass bottle.
