I’m a slave to IP Ramen’s Tsurai ramen. This is an updated review on their appetizers and takeout orders. My friend and I had their wakame salad and tofu nuggets. Unlike a few other restaurants in the city, IP gives a good helping of seaweed salad that won’t be finished quickly with three scoops. I personally preferred the tofu nuggets without the sauce whereas my friend liked it with. But I’d definitely choose pork gyozas over the tofu nuggets. Oh! My friend is also addicted to their black sesame mochi which she accompanies with green tea. Now, I knew they did takeout orders but I was wondering how they would pack the food along with how much soup I would get. The food was packed neatly and although you might think you got ripped off with the amount of soup you get in your container — FEARNOT! It looks less but it’s the correct amount when you pull out a big bowl and put your meal together. The big container is to minimize spillage during transportation.

I forgot about this place until Unilocal reminded me that I was briefly in Windsor last summer. It’s a simple and clean restaurant with nothing pretentious about it. Food is good, so you can come in expecting that. What I didn’t expect was the service! It’s a business run by a wife and husband duo. When we were finished our meal, we were telling her that she should run her business in Markham because she would do quite well there. She then told us she was originally from there but moved here. She was also kind, extremely helpful and not afraid to have a conversation with us. She didn’t hesitate to run to her car to find something for me when I discovered I had a problem(girl power!). Windsor can be a difficult place to maintain a business but I’m glad that they’re still around. They’re good-hearted people that make tasty food; I’d be more than happy to be a returning customer if I could.

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I first went to IP since there isn’t exactly many ramen houses in Windsor. However after trying their signature Tonkotsu soup I fell in love. I had never had anything like it before, this is a must for anyone who is a fan of Asian food who lives in Windsor.

I was disappointed in my first and only visit. I might return to try the ‘Ramen Burger’. I tried their house specialty and was disappointed by the taste of the broth and the nourishment enveloped in it. The soup didn’t really work. The egg was well used. The broth did not come together especially well, nor did the dish have a sense of freshness or creativity to it. Pretty bland. Meal left me underwhelmed. If you did, in fact, pee ramen, I would imagine it would taste similar to IP Ramen’s offerings. Just kidding. It wasn’t quite that bad. I appreciate the idea of this spot. Perhaps if they had better hours and food I’d be a regular.

The service was attentive and friendly. For my first time there, I had the waitress explain the favourite menu items; she was very helpful. Tried the Miso ramen and gyoza. I wish the appetizer of dumplings was served with small plates instead of using napkins. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the soup and ramen. Very few places get the miso soup right for me. Overall, I’d definitely come back to try another bowl! :)

Not bad, considering the lack of options in Windsor. I had the tonkatsu, and my mother had the shiyo. Both were very good. Worth the visit! The broth was a big salty, but that might just be me xD

It’s pretty good ramen. One of the few in Windsor. I got the shio ramen, a little salty for most but it is sea salt based soup and I enjoy that so it was good to me.

Great noodles! Perfect broth and perfect eggs! I love runny eggs and the eggs in this ramen was perfect for me! I went here twice once when they just open and again after they’ve been open for a week. They have made great progress it is definitely worth a try! My friend order the Spicy ramen and for her it wasn’t spicy at all but that’s because you can order the 4 chili spicy the regular spicy wasn’t enough for my friend but she still thought it was very good. I got the Tokontsu and I really liked it, the broth was very yummy rich and creamy. The pork belly have a nice fire wood burning taste to it, and its so tender as well! We also got the friend chicken and they were very crispy on the outside and warm and juicy the inside, it was very very good! I tired their chicken Don as well the rice the second time I went and I don’t know what the sauce is but it was really good :)! def worth a try and I will come back again :)
