By far the best Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life. Very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. I recommend this place to everyone! Very reasonable prices for the portions you get. Always fast too!

Hands down the best authentic Mexican cuisine in town; maybe even better than Mexican Town. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate and their cute décor definitely adds something to it. Their only downside is they only have about ten tables so if you plan on going there in advance, it wouldn’t hurt to make reservations – especially if it’s for more than two people. Also, minimal parking in their alley parking lot.

Ok… So the food is nice and the atmosphere is casual. We had burritos and tacos this time around and they were good. It’s not a 1st date kind of place, but definitely a casual diner out to grab some Mexican in Windsor. If you’re in the area, worth stopping by, but don’t go out of your way.

Their calamari was 100% the BEST calamari I’ve ever had. I’ve had a lot and travelled quite a bit. I had their daily special — lightly seared tuna with Broccolini, avocado-cilantro-lime sauce and a sweet potato pancake. The food was excellent, their service was great and the sangria was perfect. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant. Also, if you like churro’s, theirs will make you cry tears of joy.

Amazing food. We have been wanting to try Palenque for a while now and we are super glad we did. I had the Chimichangas and my wife had the Palenque tacos. Both were amazing. Had such a smooth taste and is the best Mexican food Windsor has to offer. And the dessert Churros were to die for. With Windsor being such a great place for great eats, put Palenque on your go-to list. We will definitely be back.

This place has awesome food. The main thing about this place is the freshness and quality. You could tell that everything they serve is completely fresh and that is why it can sometimes take a bit longer than average restaurants to receive food. The food itself is awesome, again with the best thing being the freshness. I personally love the burrito. Typically, the beans and rice they serve differ from other mexican restaurants and they put their own twist on things. They offer churros as dessert which are hard to find, love that! Also, they offer amazing jello from Mexico that has an impecable 3D Floral art. My issue is the price is a little over average. Assuming because of the quality. The magaritas are crazy expensive(my opinion) about $ 27 a pitcher, which gives you like 3 glasses. Since, they first opened ive noticed the price increases and that they give less along with the price increase. Chips used to come with gucamole complimentary now salsa. Still amazing service, and food quality.

Not sure if this is because this is the first time I had legit mexican food, but this place was not good, not great, it was simply epic. Me and several coworkers came to this place after work and arrived during dinner hours. The wait was a bit long, but it was quite worth the wait. I personally got the house burrito and the mexi fries, and I also tried some of my friend’s calamari. The appetizers came first and we were not only surprised by the quantity of the dishes, they tasted amazing! The only downside was that they were so good that we could barely finish our main course. My house burrito was delicious and consisted of various fresh vegetables as well as tender steak pieces. Definitely would come back!

Just checked out Palenque with some friends. The food was pretty stellar. Two friends had awesome-looking chimichangas, one had tacos, one a burrito, and I had the pollo milanesa. Everything tasted good, with good portions, and nice presentation. Lots of variety on the menu, so I’m looking forward to going back.

We had a great time when we enjoyed a late lunch yesterday. Service was quick and very personal. Food was excellent — we loved the guacamole, palenque tacos, and chimichangas, among others. Look for margarita special flavours from scratch like jamaica made from fresh hibiscus flowers. Great experience for the price!

Favourite Mexican place in Windsor. Authentic, family run with good portions. All the salsas are homemade and nacho chips at beginning of meal are fresh. Cozy atmosphere with art for sale on the wall. The tables are handmade! Have had the chimichanga, burrito and taco and happy with all of them.
