The McGregor Cowan House

Home cooking (literally) at it’s best! The breakfast menu here is great, that also goes for the value! If I’m going for breakfast in the Essex County area, I must say, the McGregor Cowan house is at the top of my list!
One of the best parts about breakfast here is that the dishes are mostly original ideas. This also goes for the seasonal specials (the pumpkin pancakes during Autumn are excellent!). The décor also coincides with the seasons, now, this place already has a lot of character/​charm, so the seasons bring out even more! This house also has a lot of history, being built in 1805 it is one of the oldest buildings in Windsor. Occasionally there is dinner available here, but it is most likely to be for a holiday or event.
This hidden gem in Sandwich town is definitely a place I’d suggest trying! I’ve been coming back for years now and I’ve never had a bad experience here. The staff are friendly and the dishes are served quickly. There’s many reason’s why I return here for breakfast, which is why I would encourage others to try this place for themselves!
