Had a lovely dinner here after a movie last night. The ambience is warm and welcoming. There was a TV screen over the bar unobtrusively showing the Leafs game — a nice touch on a Saturday night. We shared most of our meals and items as the portions are large. Caesars salad was crisp and fresh. Smoked Lake Erie Lake Trout was nicely presented, and attractively garnished. The brucetta was heaped with tomatoes, basil, chick peas and the large pieces were quite filling. Main courses — I had Veal Limone, with a white wine and lemon and mushroom reduction sauce, with grilled artichokes, and a side of broiled root vegetables. Two others had a to-die-for schnitzel with huge double cuts of pork beautifully dressed in a crisp crust, and perfectly seasoned(we brought two left-over pieces home with us), and the fourth was a fabulous seafood pasta plate. Seasonal roast potatoes and a side of small, spiced, creamed pasta pieces completed the meal. I ordered a bottle of white Portuguese wine to go with the meal, but it was on back order, and the chef suggested a Spanish white made from the same grapes in its stead. The wine was delightfully refreshing — much like a French Sancerre — a perfect accompaniment for the fairly rich fare in the plates. Service was quick, attentive, friendly, and accurate. All-in-all, a delightful last minute choice for a place to go. We’ll be back.

Came here last night with my girlfriends, I made a reservation on Unilocal. I recommend making a reservation if you’re thinking of going during the weekend. I have had the experience of not being able to get a table on a Saturday night. But I learned my lesson and reserved in advance. I really liked the place, we had to dress up and not look like students for one night. We got oysters to start, oysters were fresh and dressings were delicious.(2.5 $ each) I got the Beef and Iberico pasta for main course. It was sooo good that I couldn’t stop eating, and trust me, the bowl was huge. One of us got sushi, and didn’t like it. but I heard they’re hiring a new chef who’s going to work on their sushi menu. The only downside was my friend’s steak which was overdone and she had to send it back. But at the end they didn’t charge her for the steak which was a nice gesture. Our server was also very nice, and constantly attended us by filling up my wine glass. We had a nice long chat with him at the end(don’t ask what we talked about!) I will definitely come back. I just don’t recommend getting the steak and the sushi, cause it’s not a steak house or a sushi place. Go to bathroom for selfies, lighting sucks for pictures in the dining room.

Overrated and overpriced. To start, friends got: portobello mushroom, oysters, and bruschetta. All appetizers were pretty good. Mains: tenderloin, salmon, salmon and mushroom tempura sushi, and beef pasta. Tenderloin was cooked incorrectly and had to send back. You have to pay for a side that is literally unflavored and steamed with water. Not worth $ 50. Salmon was pretty good. But small. Salmon sushi was horrible. Avocado was so hard I could barely chew through. Mushroom tempura was very good. Pasta was pretty good. Wouldn’t come back. Much better restaurants in Windsor.

Been back, had the oysters and a beet salad(2 kinds of beets). Everyone liked it. Oysters were fucking huge. I was impressed. I like this place a lot. I really love the art around the restaurant. The photos are by Jess Winbaum and she’s a really great photographer(and a phenominal human).

My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday at Toscana and it was perfect! Our server, Nino, was so attentive and helpful. We ended up with six courses, each one better than the last. Our favorites were the mushroom pasta, which was perfectly al dente and flavorful, and the lamb. Best lamb I’ve ever had! We will definitely be making frequent trips back.

Went back for lunch and had the special which was grouper with quinoa and swisschard. It was amazing!!! Healthy and tasty. My only complaint is my favorite gin drink with basil and grapefruit was not made the same, although still a good drink. This time, it had a basil leaf and a grapefruit slice as a garnish instead of crushed directly into the drink similar to a mojito, which is how I prefer it full of flavour! I deducted one star from the inconsistent drink.

Outstanding ex prince every time I go to Toscana! Servers and staff go out of their way for you, friendly, clean and sophisticated atmosphere. Food is delicious and wide variety of seafood is what I like most here. Superb wine list. Apps may need a little updating.

Toscana is a great local restaurant with great food, and a wonderful wine selection. If Toscana has a downside, it is the noise level. The bar area can be very crowded and noisy which will impact anyone looking for a quiet evening dinner.

I’ve been to this restaurant a handful of times this year. This review is based on three separate visits within the last six weeks. Visit # 1: I was here with my business partner with a vendor rep. Our meals were great. I tried the stuffed mushroom pasta, it was delicious. The wine was great. The service was wonderful. It was such a great evening, we literally made reservations for our staff Chrissy party that we would have in a few weeks. I would have rated that evening 4 out of 5 stars Visit # 2: we had reserved a table at our last visit, so we didn’t have to wait. We ordered a couple bottles of wine and had an amazing evening. There were six of us and no one had a bad thing to say about their meal. I tried a different pasta dish with a blush sauce. I was very impressed. I would have rated that evening a 5 out of 5. That’s how great everything was. Visit #3: Based on Saturday nights evening I decided to returns few days later(I’m pretty sure it was a Monday night). I had a pretty long day at work and did not feel like cooking. Plus it was just before Christmas and I had to pick a few item up close to the restaurant. People were bringing in their own wine wine, so I am guessing they had some type of deal going on with the corking fee. My boyfriend is picky so I hate taking him to new places. He enjoyed his meal but will most likely not return to this restaurant. To start off, the restaurant was not busy at all, but the service was extremely slow. The bread they brought out was not the same bread I had during my previous two visits. They reminded me of the little whole wheat rolls you get at Costco but they were«hard». I love bread, so that kinda killed it. I ordered a diet coke/Pepsi and my boyfriend ordered a coke/Pepsi. To be honest, this was the very first time I’ve ordered pop from this restaurant but it tasted off. We didn’t mention it because no one checked on us until our entrees came out. As I said before the food was great. I also commented on the slow service this particular evening. A «local celebrity» came in with his wife and sat across from us. All of a sudden he has THREE different people waiting on him. I can’t fault hem for tailoring to him, but I can fault them for basically ignoring us. Overall I would rate this evening a 3 out of 5 stars and my boyfriend would rate it a 2 out of 5 stars. Which is sad, because I really wanted him to like this restaurant. So although I like this restaurant, when I average my good experiences with my bad experiences I can only give it 3 out of 5 stars overall.

Had dinner here last night with a group of friends. Nice cozy atmosphere with friendly service and a nice variety of food on menu. Ended up going with the 12 oz beef filet which was sourced from local beef. cooked medium rare as requested and was nothing short of spectacular. One of best steaks i’ve ever eaten and i dont say that lightly. Look forward to coming back soon.

We have friends in Windsor that come here all the time and love this place. They took us here when we were in town and we too loved it! Great service, good food and nice atmosphere. Fish special was great, mussels were yummy and good wine selection. Don’t miss this place.
