The potato balls were tasty, crispy and flavourful. The accompanying homemade pepper jelly was a delightful surprise.
The vegetarian curry was delicious. I thought that the rice, chickpea and naan bread made for a bit of a starch overload, however. So, I ordered a side market salad, which I put on top, to add some fresh greens to the mix. I was glad that I did; the result was fantastic.
The servers were friendly and provided great service.

The food was great, the service not so much.
My boyfriend and I both work in the food industry and we enjoy fresh quality food very much. We enjoyed the food here tremendously! I loved my fish and chips and the appetizer was great as well. The food was on point but the service was really strange.
As we first came in there was a sign to seat ourselves. The problem with this is that no one knows we are even there. So we waited a good 15mins until someone came to see us.
We ordered our appetizer and before we were even half way done eating it our main courses came in! This was extremely awkward for us because we didn’t want our meals to get cold but we were not even finished our appetizers yet.
The décor for an Irish feel was ok. I have never been to Ireland myself but I found the streamers a bit cheesy. For all I know they have this kind of décor over there but for me I was confused.
Needless to say, great food but the service can use some improvement and maybe they can work on not rushing the food out so quickly.

We went back again tonight. The place was packed but we got our order in record time and it was delicious!

My husband and I went to Fionn MacCools Irish Pub after its opening week, just wanting to give it a try since we live in the area. I’m going to chalk most of the glitches up to the fact that they had just opened. But be sure to request a booth if you can, because some of the table areas are very squished, we had to move our table so I wouldn’t be back to back with a woman sat behind us. The waitress was very nice, but it took quite a while for her to even take our drink orders, and even longer to get the drinks (a water and a beer). My food was great, I got one of the little meat pies, my husband wasn’t as impressed with what he had, he didn’t hate it, but he wasn’t impressed. The price is on point with what I expect in Transcona.
