We love to try new places and it seems I don’t review enough of them. I felt this place needed to have one. We found this place a few months ago and were excited to try it. We went online and checked out the menu and were excited to go. I love different beers, especially craft beers and was stoked that they did flights. Tonight we planned a date night and went. The patio was open so it was the perfect place to sit, drink beer and enjoy a good meal. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to do all 3 of those. The menus came and I chose 5 beers to try. Once the waitress came back, she informed us, «We don’t do flights anymore», I showed her they are still on the menu and they boasted the sign in the window when you walked in. She said, «No, sorry, they just haven’t changed the menu yet. But if you want the flights of the Irish beers, I can get that for you». I settled for a pint and we perused the menu. We decided to share the tequila citrus chicken which came with 2 sides, and an order of cheese toast. The menu boasted 2 chicken breasts so it was more than enough to share.. She asked us which sides we wanted and we asked for poutine and the soup. «Sorry, we don’t do soup anymore» was the response. So a Caesar salad was settled on. The meal came about 15 minutes later. The chicken was 2 halves of a breast, not a full breast, if it was 2 full breasts, it came from something the size of a Cornish game hen. The Caesar salad was run of the mill, and the poutine had oodles of cheese, none of which had melted because the fries and gravy were cold. All that being said, the service was ok, the meal sucked and I drank beer that I could have had anywhere else. If you are looking for a place to go and to treat yourself, pass this place up and try anywhere else in the village

We have gone to Jekyll and Hydes several times since it opened. We love the patio in the summer — it is big and in a great location in Osborne Village. The downside is that the service is not great and the beer on tap is always flat. We went last night to enjoy the patio on the first nice day of the year… again, had flat beer. We have never complained in the past and just drank our flat beer… this time, the Stella was so flat it was undrinkable so it was sent back. The waitress(who looked miserable since we walked in) came back and said that the owner himself tasted it and it was not flat. Number one rule in good customer service — the customer is right… you never make them feel like it is their problem. We were so turned off that we decided to pay our bill and leave… we were going to stay for dinner and have a few more drinks… we will never go back. Message to the Owner: 1. perhaps cut down the number of draught beers on your menu and focus on making sure they are fresh and 2. good customer service will make or break a business — you have a great location, decent food, good concept… but your customer service kills it.

Really love the new layout here. The performance area is separate from the restaurant/pool tables so nobody is disrupting the show. Wednesday nights are great because they have deals on wings/wine and open mic comedy from some of the city’s best comics. Service is good and there are great options for snacky sharing foods.

Pretty sure this place will be shut down in a few months with the terrible service I received last night. Really appreciated sitting in the restaurant and not even having my existence acknowledged. Brutal. Won’t step foot in this place again.
