I have moved so many times over the last few years, always just with the help of friends. Since moving sucks, I decided to hire someone this time, though I was a bit apprehensive about the cost and horror stories of people’s stuff being destroyed. Putt’s was recommended by a friend, and had the lower estimate out of the two companies I contacted, so I went with them, and I’m really glad I did. The two movers they sent were right on time, super professional in that kind of relaxed-friendly way, handled our stuff with great care and moved quickly. They also were really great about taking a few items that were awkwardly packed(stuff heaped in a laundry basket), and offered helpful suggestions for making sure our furniture didn’t damage the hardwood floors in our new place. It was so amazing to have someone move our stuff — a task that would have taken us plus friends all day, or more likely, multiple days(not to mention a lot of exhaustion, back pain and grumpiness) got completely finished in three hours. Bonus points for being significantly under the low end of the estimate. They were also able to accommodate our preferred date, which was a Sunday on a long weekend, which the other moving company didn’t offer. Everything about this experience was wonderful, and while I hope to not move again for a very, very long time, I will definitely use Putt’s the next time that I do.
