Real Canadian Superstore

This place is unbelievable. This is a Canadian run business and is well stocked, clean and very fair prices. Shame we don’t live here cause we would shop here all the time.

I’ve been a long time customer of this store.
First, let me be clear that I choose the store on price. It is a much cheaper option than Sobeys. I understand that means that I’m going to get less service.
Pros:
Price
Nice wide aisles
Additional departments (electronics, clothes, etc)
However I really feel the store has gone downhill in two areas over the last few years:
Stock: I find that stocking seems to be a major issue, with regular items out of stock every time I go (and I’ve tried varying shopping times to see if that is the issue.) I’m not sure if they are having trouble getting stock, or if they lack the staff to get it on the shelves, but it makes a better stocked store more enticing, even if I have to pay more.
Organization: They’ve reorganized multiple times in the past couple of years, with less and less sense to the layout. I wonder if the staff is spending so much time on the new layouts they can’t stock the shelves.
With Target and the Super-​Walmarts, it may be time to switch.

Absolutely terrible. The staff is so rude including the managers. I had written a complaint to head office and all they said is they would look into it. This is not how a Canadian run company should act. I cancelled my SS MasterCard and stopped shopping here. They also do not change the filters in their water because we had algae growth in our bottles when they were sterilized. I went back and they said they couldn’t do anything about it. The store is also always filthy, next time you are there take a look in the bottom of their freezers and coolers.

One nice thing about Superstore is that it’s open early in the morning.
Parking is available in the nice large lot out front.
It looks like the head office missed this location on the «renovate to blue and cream» list, as the outside is still green and yellow.
The inside in theory has a similar layout as other places, but for some reason this particular store had a really barren/​abandoned look to it. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it was the lack of customers at the time or something.
They have an Asian section here, which meant I could somewhat load up on goodies from back home. By «somewhat» I mean «don’t expect to find everything», but it had enough of a selection I was partially satisfied.

So excellent. I miss this place a lot. Great place to do a LOT of shopping without selling your soul to Walmart.
It’s good, it’s Canadian, and it has close to everything you want at a great price.

Just like the usual big supermarkets, they have everything from linens, to food and grocery, to bulk food (I heart them), and joe fresh clothes.
I hate it because it is big. I love it because I can find everything.
They do need to work on cleaning the place. There were chip bag opened and spilling into the aisle, and cocoa on the floor in the bulk foods aisle.
