Sous Sol

A great speakeasy-​style restaurant with a perfect French décor with food and drinks to match.

This is a fabulous hidden restaurant located in Osborne Village! There is no signage outside the building or in the basement where the restaurant is located. You are only presented with a black door.
You enter into 1920’s Paris with vintage décor, and dinnerware. There are candles dripping wax down the walls onto the carpet.
We went with another couple and sampled nearly the entire menu. We sampled great appetizers, entrée’s, sides and desserts from oysters, beef, pork, beets, dumplings, and more. The sauces were impeccable, and everything cooked to perfection.
The ambiance, and hidden nature of the restaurant enhance the whole experience.
Sous Sol is only open on weekends and you cannot make reservations. Go early as the filled up quickly the night we went. Highly Recommended.
