The food did not taste as good as it should be. The place was dead on weekend. I would not recommend eating the vegetarian food here.

My wife and I went here for lunch after being recommended here as an alternative to Mongo’s. Went in with hopeful expectations… unfortunately didn’t quite leave that way. It was quiet for an afternoon, which wasn’t a bad thing. 2TV’s going [One with Golf, not sure of the other] and both muted, so good for viewing without distracting with volume. Self Serve drinks available or bottled, but that’s not a totally bad thing. We were in time for the Lunch hour portions for their servings. The boxes for Take Out look a lot smaller then one would expect, but since we were eating in, they served in good size bowls. My wife went for the smaller portion and it was a decent amount. The regular size was a lot bigger then I expected. We went for the Teriyaki Noodle bowls as we love Teriyaki a lot. The fact you could swap out what type of noodles was definitely a positive thing. [They serve with Udon noodles which I LOVE, but my wife went for Chow Mein style.] The Drink combo was a nice touch… a fountain drink and a Samosa, Egg Roll or 2 Pot Stickers for $ 3.29 is nice value. Egg Roll wasn’t anything to write home about… the Samosa, while small, was actually palatable and wasn’t overly spiced. I prefer that aspect personally, as so many ruin it with too much curry or spices. I was content there. My bowl had a LOT of Teriyaki in it… a bit much, a bit thick, but still really nice. My wife barely had any… or the noodles sucked it up too much… but it seemed the latter. Uncooked bean sprouts was a bit of a surprise, but still worked well with the bowls. I also got their Naan-Wich, which was Butter Chicken and rice in a Naan bread. The Butter Chicken was not the usual tomato-ey kind we find too often [and which is so ridiculously subjective to taste due to the variances every restaurant uses…] but more subdued, with a hint of cinnamon that made it quite delicious. The Naan bread was big and thick but tasted excellent! Definitely one of the best choices. But then came the moment, at the checkout part, that took what would have been a slightly passable 3 star and desire to try a different dish the next time… down to a 2. Right off the hop? No «Confirm Total»… it was«Tip Amount» that greeted me. With 18% and 15% right off the hop. VERY Presumptuous and very frustrating for a first ever meal. There was a 3rd option for a Different Percent, which THEN moved me to confirm the meal amount. Right after that it asked if I wanted to leave a tip for % or $ amount. Way too pushy feeling considering I had yet to take a bite. We MAY go back and try something else there and see if our thoughts change… [The Naan-Wich is a guarantee at least, and some Samosas despite the size]… but until then… that prompt and the not bad but not great Teriyaki Noodle Bowl put me off a bit. Alright, mainly that prompt. I may try once more, At least the prices weren’t terribly bad considering portions. Will try takeout next time if we found a desire to try.

I had the Chicken Kung Pao. The noodles were hard, and there was very little sauce. I ate in, and it was so cold inside that everyone was still wearing their parkas! Even if you sat near the kitchen! They also had a location on St. Mary’s Rd, but they closed it. Too bad, it was MUCH better food!

$ 25 for 2 meals. The box wasn’t even filled up to the top. I would say if I’m gonna pay $$$ I want my box filled to the top! I ordered the Korean Bulgogi. Thumbs down tastes nothing like Korean BBQ. It tastes like soy sauce with a side of soy sauce. On the upside, my husband loved the Kung Pao, but substituted for rice and added hot chilli. Prob won’t make it a big deal to come back.

Okay, I tried this place a few years ago in Edmonton and had a horrible meal. I thought I’d give this place a second chance but even with a coupon, this place was very disappointing! I don’t understand why the food can be so bad here. I expect food court level Asian food but using that as a benchmark is too high. The«Korean Beef Bulgogi» is a rice dish with thinly sliced beef that’s wok-fried with sweet soy sauce. This didn’t taste anything like Korean bulgogi — just soy sauce. And unfortunatley they burnt the beef so there was that burn taste in the meat. The«Thai Red Curry Chicken» was slightly better as it wasn’t burnt but there was no real flavours as everything tasted muted. No fragrant red curry and no discernible heat. A very disappointing dish.

Tried this in Brandon a few years ago, and now it is in Winnipeg, so rolled by for lunch the other day. Overall the ingredients although preproportion on site where fresh, and the sauces were good. For a quick summary it a OK chain based Asian influenced restaurant. Is there better in town yes, but the price, quantity and quality hit the right note for me and I will be back for a lunch or quick dinner some other day. Do not get me wrong this is not a place I would consider for a evening out. I would stop by just a quick bite between two things, and to their credit that is how they have set themselves up. For those who are looking for Vegetarian option they provide that too.
