Small menu but the food is great. Very welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Good spot if you’re just looking for a quiet place to have lunch with a small group. Nice selection of local beer that will be sure to have something for any beer lover. Decent selection of local wines as well. I’ll be back again.

We waited an hour for our burgers and the bun was really hard and stale. I ate it because I was too scared to send it back and wait another hour. The waitress was really sweet and apologetic, that’s probably the only reason I didn’t give this place one star.

Took over an hour to get our order and they got it wrong. Server was snippy. Not going back.

This is a wonderful place to stop and get a burger and a beer. The atmosphere is magical. The old wood furnishings and dark and delightfully cozy closeness of this place is a fantastic atmosphere to escape from the winter or the rain. The food is also sourced locally which makes it all the better. I had the burger and it was wonderful. The pita fries were interesting and the dipping sauce refreshing.

A unique spot with great authentic food. Not a student grab! Food(3⁄3 stars) The library burger, probably the best burger in the province. The food hear is catered to a small bistro setting and it does just that. There are some great small eats here and everything is made from scratch. So delicious and authentic. Atmosphere =(1⁄1 star) Cool little pub upstairs and a classier spot downstairs. Very home style atmosphere. There can be a lack of seating if it’s busy. Service(.75÷1 star) Sometimes the wait time can be a bit too long. But for the most part pretty consistent. Main Enjoyment: Eating that library burger and it’s faithful companion of bread sticks and red pepper aioli. Main Complaint: Not enough seats!

We stopped in for a little pre-marathon dinner. The only pasta on the menu was a carbonara that my better half enjoyed. The sauce wasn’t too heavy and the serving size was more than generous. I had the chicken cranberry sandwich which was possibly the best sandwich I have ever enjoyed. It was served on a very soft whole wheat bread which a side salad. No fries at this pub — which is a refreshing change from the norm. This university pub has a great casual atmosphere with phenomenal service. I had the beer special(x2) and Jen had a water which was constantly refilled. We are hoping we can stop in again tomorrow and maybe sample one of the desserts as well next time!

We haven’t eaten here yet, and I’ll update when we do. We really like visiting the Library Pub for a drink when we’re in the area — nice atmosphere, friendly service, good beer for my husband and the last time we were there(for my birthday) the waitress made me an AWESOME Singapore Sling :) Upstairs is cosy and sometimes has live music. Downstairs has two rooms: bar in the front, bigger room in the back. Dark and cosy, it’s got a good pub feel to it.

Great menu. Instead of trying to find the one thing that jumps out at me, I find I’m trying to decide between all the things on the menu that sound great. Lots of snack sized apps that aren’t full meals. The burger with the pineapple and jalapenos is well worth the drive from Halifax alone. Also great location, cool atmosphere, and good beer list to boot.

Popped in here for a few drinks during a Wolfville weekend and was delighted to discover that they sell McAuslan Cider. Having a few drinks on the small patio was a great way to pass a few hours on a beautiful day. Also, I had their chocolate cheesecake muffin– so good!

This is a cool spot with a great location on the strip in downtown Wolfville! The outside has some beautiful character to it and while I didn’t make it through the inside much, I’m sure that charm runs throughout. We set up camp on the small but potent outdoor patio for some weekend day-drinking in the sun. Oddly, it was the one spot that didn’t seem to have lurkers waiting to steal your chairs the same way other places did which made it an easy choice for our people watching camp for the afternoon. Servers were friendly enough but definitely not warm-and-fuzzy; attentive enough that we knew we were never forgotten, but not so on the ball that we didn’t have to run in to place a drink order once or twice. Bonus points for slinging McAuslan cider.

I stopped in at the Library Pub during a recent trip to the valley. Located on the main drag in Wolfville, their patio was a prime location for people-watching during the Apple Blossom Festival weekend. Combine that with having McAuslan Cider on tap, and you’ve got a place I’m willing to sit all afternoon!

GOODSWEETJESUSLORD. I cannot express enough mushy love about how much I love this place. Yes I attended Acadia University and called Wolfville my home for 5 years. Does that make me bias? Undoubtedly. Does that mean the Lib Pub doesn’t deserve these stars? Hells to the no, they deserve every one. I don’t even know where to begin really. Let’s start with how cute it is. With both the upstairs and downstairs decorated beautifully with rich woods and quirky bar decorations, this teenie places oozes personality. Upstairs at the pub offers a good selection of live music throughout the week. Showcasing some great talent in the valley. I’ve been at the pub many of times when they were at capacity and it couldn’t have been more than 50 people. If you’re coming for live music, be sure to come early and grab a spot, otherwise you’ll be standing with the other 45 people. It’s a hoppin’ spot. And all that dancin’ to bobcaygen and don’t look back in anger leaves you a little thirsty doesn’t it? Get a caesar, they come with a pickle, hubba hubba. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy one to sixteen of these every week. The staff are friendly and personable and the food is ridiculous. Some of my favorites are the book club sandwich, herb crusted chicken sandwich, cabbage and feta salad, library burger, and the nachos. The nachos come on some of the best chips I’ve tasted and the cabbage at feta salad will have your belly grinning from ear to ear. With a pretty extensive selection of beers and wines, you really can’t keep driving past the pub. It’s worth the nice drive to Wolfville in the spring to check it out!

A charming traditional pub, with Strongbow on tap. The waitress got distracted by a visiting friend, which was disappointing, but otherwise she was attentive and fun. The food is spectacular, braised lamb in a puff pastry and Thai tiger shrimp were wonderful. The burger and thin crust pizza equally as enjoyable. Enjoyed it very much.

The atmosphere is good… Old pub style, but the food(salmon, scallops) was over cooked. There is a lot better food in town … Or maybe stick to beer and burgers…

I was a regular here while attending Acadia University. They have great service, delicious food and cozy seating. Although I spent many days studying by the bar, this is most definitely not a place to bring the textbooks. Most of the customers are here with friends, on a date, or there for a casual dinner. The atmosphere is a cross of an English and Irish Pub. There is a small section of tables and chairs in the front, a small bar and a few wooden booths in the back. Most of the fun happens upstairs on weekend nights, where you can find music and a jolly intelligent crowd. Customers at the library pub represent the general population of Wolfville: a smart, unpretentious and tree-hugging group. They have a small menu(a good sign in most restaurants), and they do it well. Everything on the menu, from the salads, to the sandwiches, and entrees is prepared well and served in reasonable portions. I have yet to order a meal that I didn’t enjoy. Their pricing is fair and less than most pubs(probably because they don’t offer gigantic pub-size servings). Their specialty coffees are alright(don’t expect the same quality as a barista) especially condering it isn’t what they specialize in. All in all, a great place for a casual meal alone or to catch up with friends!

I’ve only been to the Library Pub once, but ate one of the best meals of my life there – the greek pizza! Seriously delicious. And as someone who was just passing through town, I found it to be quite a cozy place to stop for a meal with my family. Hope I get to visit again someday!

This past September was my first venture to the Library Pub in Wolfville. It’s certainly not hard to see why the central locale(everything’s pretty central in Wolfville) and quaint interior make this a favorite of the locals and Acadia students alike. The Library Pub has a downstairs and upstairs portion as well as a small patio in the summer. We were quite impressed with the draft cider as well as dessert options. I highly recommend you take a jaunt down to the Library Pub next summer. The drive to Wolfville is pretty enjoyable and with yummy food and a patio overlooking Main street, this makes for a great escape out of the city! ps: The downstairs portion of this establishment closes in terms of kitchen service after lunch and doesn’t reopen until dinner hour.
