If you are a baker you would surely have set foot in a shop like this. Located in Taman Melawati, it’s rather hidden unless you know the area well. Good thing their signboard is a striking orange colour so when you see it, you don’t miss it. Parking can be a pain though as there are limited spots out in front of the shop and there are other shoplots nearby so sometimes you may have to drive around for a bit or else park further away.
They sell everything you could possibly need to bake from many different varieties of flour to butter to baking pans and tins to cake boxes and cookie cutters. You name it, they have it when it comes to baking. If it’s close to Hari Raya or Chinese New Year be prepared for a deluge of bakers shopping for butter and flour. They also carry their own pre-​mixes such as brownies, cakes and cookies. I have bought their moist chocolate cake pre-​mix where you just need to add a couple more ingredients and it turned out well.
They have a good selection of kitchenware such as rolling pins, muffin trays, whisks and measuring cups too. If you run a home baking business, they carry lots of nice packaging boxes as well — with choices for chocolates, cupcakes and cakes in all different sized. Need less to say, if baking is your thing, pay Bagus a visit.
