If you happened to depart the WangsaMaju LRT station and walk along the streets of hawker food stalls, you will come across this nasi kukus(Steam rice). It is only opened in the evenings, about 5pm and it goes on till all the food is sold off. Just about time for those who are walking back to their house after work, they could actually drop by and there is only a short wait till makcik has your food prepared. There is a lady who will take orders and prepare it and another guy who will be cooking behind her. So out of curiosity, I bought one pack of nasi kukus to try it out. To my surprise, it was quite nice! The steam rice is lovely and the fragrance of the rice is really good! They actually take a big pot and start steaming the rice and the taste of these steam rice is totally different from what we boil in the rice cooker. Chicken was just ordinary but I guess if you are bored with other dishes for dinner, you can try this one out!

Thanks to my niece and once again. I acknowledge love. She brought me Dek yah Nasi Kukus Ayam Dara and I can’t thank her enough. I was starving and It was pretty late that day, It was about 5 or 6 ish. I don’t have any companion for dinner that day so my niece brought me here to take away. We were planning to go elsewhere after that, thought of having a early dinner. Nasi Kukus by the way are chicken — two types either curry or white sauce, can’t really remember) along with rice. It’s quite a sweet deal, It cost around Rm 6 to 7, not sure with the price. Plus, the portion are pretty big. I must say the nasi kukus are delish. Along with her pleasant smile that ‘totally’ makes your day. It’s worth everything. Never try never know, so try them and you totally will be a fan of Dek Yah…
