My brother and I took our parents to Graze at Hilton Kuala Lumpur for a nice mother’s day dinner. Our initial plan was to dine at Chambers but decided to go to Graze because they seems to have more choices in their main course. Graze is located on Level 5(Mezzanine) in Hilton KL. From the main entrance of Hilton KL, you can spot Graze on your left — it’s directly above Chambers. Graze is very cosy and I like their open-concept kitchen. You can see all the actions going on in the kitchen when you entre the restaurant. Instead of the mother’s day set meal, we opted for their ala carte. We were served with some bread to munch on before our meal. The bread was ok but I prefer the raw vegetables with aioli dip. I’m a sucker for aioli dip! We ordered a starter to share — Seafood Fritto Misto with Spicy Aioli. The seafood was deep fried till perfection. Despite it stated«spicy aioli» on the menu, it’s not spicy at all. If you don’t mind the wait, go for the Roasted Chicken in Spanish Style. The chicken was moist and flavourful, and I like the pieces of smoked duck in it The down side? You have to wait 25 minutes for your food. Want something else than chicken? Try the Veal Rib Steak then. The veal was tender and cooked to perfection, and it came with one choice of side dish. Compare to an adult cattle, veal has less flavours in the meat so it’s suitable for those who prefer their meat to be less gamey. My dad had the Duck Confit and it was cooked to perfection too. The skin was crispy and the meat was moist and flavourful. I especially like the spinach, as it absorbed all the goodness of the gravy. My mom had the Spicy Linguine Seafood Aglio-Olio, which I felt was a little bit disappointing. I felt the linguine was slightly overcooked, and it somehow reminded a lot of Ulu Yam Lor Mee! As for the dessert, we had the Passion Fruit Parfait — which I HIGHLYRECOMMENDED to have after a heavy meal. The sourness of the passion fruit definitely helps a lot! Overall, the food at Graze was not too bad and the servers were very friendly. The down side? We were seated next to a table with 2 children, so it got a little bit noisy halfway through the dinner. Do make your reservation before dropping by because they have limited seats. You can also check out their menu from the hotel website.
