It has a new entrance which is better as it doesn’t crowd as badly as before.
But the seats are still old and the aircon was dripping water on me throughout the movie!
Please avoid sitting at seat B7 at Cinema 12

Came here a few times for movie woth my friends and family. It is my first selection when I want to watch movies. The audio of the cinema is great and loud enough compare to the other cinema. The seats were arranged like a stairs and this makes the audience can enjoy their movie without being blocked by the other audience in front.
Now GSC have their own application which can be downloaded in the apps stores. The application allow us to view the showtimes and buy the tickets online. This services helps the customer to save a lot of their time .
However, I dislike the popcorns that are selling in gsc because the popcorns sometimes are no5 crispy enough. It taste very weird when it is soft and not crunchy.

With renovation going on at GSC@ Mid Valley, I can only look forward for what is to come. Even before the renovations, this outlet was one of my favourite spot to catch a movie.
I find the staff here are more efficient and hardworking as compared to other locations. I can only assume that the manager at GSC @ Mid Valley have trained his/​her staff well.
Also, I find the seats to be clean and well maintained. Currently with renovation ongoing, it has gotten a little bit messy and crowded. However, I know this won’t be permanent. I look forward till the renovations are done for a bigger and better cinema.

The crowd here during weekends are always crazy as you can see in my photo. Tickets for newly screening movies will be sold out pretty fast as well. So, if you’re here during the weekend you could either come here earlier to beat the really long queue, or you can use their online booking system! That’s surely a better alternative.
They have lately moved one floor up after the renovation, so you have to find the escalator to get to their new entrance.
Remember to use your citibank card during weekends for a flat rate of rm10 for one ticket! It’s however limited to purchase of only a pair of tickets for one day.
Alternatively, purchase ticket for any day’s movie on a Thursday using your hong leong card, and you can enjoy buy 1 free 1 promotion too!
However, I experienced a rather distasteful counter attendant this time during my visit. Counter attendants are supposed to ring the bell to get your attention when they have finished serving their customer, however this attendant Theva, kept ringing the bell for more than ten times everytime, making really big noise, annoying so much on top of the already taxing crowd. So, you might want to ask them to stop politely next time you see them, that’s not how you use the bell, am i not right?

I have always enjoyed watching movies, especially of the fantasy genre. Something about escaping reality even if it’s for a short period of time is enough to leave me feeling refreshed and inspired. Now that I’m all grown up (hahaah yeah right!) I usually like to enjoy my movies from the comfort of my own home. I no longer find waiting in line for half an hour appealing nor productive. But when I was younger though…
GSC would be THE place to be with your friends. Waiting in line was part of the thrill in itself. The many posters of movies that was showing and those that were about to come out in the next few weeks so we could come up with plans to watch it together again were sprawled against the ceilings and walls. You get to catch up and gossip about your History teacher, that weird classmate with the spongebob squarepants pencil case (that was me) and the horrific food at the canteen. We would also enjoy looking at other people taking their dates to a Saturday afternoon movie and taking bets on how long they’ll last (we were a bunch of meanies.) All of this, while waiting in line.
They have however upgraded their services to telephone and online booking to provide a more expedited service but to tell you the truth, where’s the fun in that? They also have a special Gold Class and Internet booking counter that you could just walk right through to and collect your tickets from.
The popcorn never seem to change over the years in terms of taste and they did since then added hotdogs and nachos amongst other things to their menu which is always a plus point. After writing this review, I am thinking about heading there to catch a movie myself, you know, for old times sake. But I think I’m going to opt for the internet booking option now that I’m all grown up and taking bets on peoples relationships doesn’t thrill me as much anymore.
