This place is known for its health food packed with all sorts of health products to give you an added edge for your day. You can find here a complete body restoring Herbal Jelly, which contains 20 Chinese herbs and is made following a secret recipe from China.
This location is very popular and a lot of people come here to cool down from the humid heat out there. Even their deserts have properties that help cool down your body temperature but you may have to acquire a taste for them as they can be quite bitter. But not to worry they do provide some sweet options to offset the taste.

Koong Woh Tong, one of the few herbal shops in Malaysia that actually serves edible herbal stuff that you might actually eat or drink, and has established chains after chains of their shops around KL.
Their herbal jelly is unheralded as one of the better herbal jellies in the world… If you do not think about how it is made, which is by crushing turtle shells and mixing it with herbs. Of course, this dish is meant for you to take when you are feeling the heat of the Sun or just needing something to cool you down from a long day of working. They also serve herbal teas, which is suitable for those who cannot take the sweet-​bitter combo of the jelly.
If you love food and you love to eat healthy while doing so, this is the place to go. Trust me on that kids!

There is no doubt that Koong Woh Tong is one my favourite spot in Tropicana City Mall to have a breather from shopping or a healthy dessert place after a heavy meal. Also, this outlet is my regular place for my fixed for gui ling gou, a black herbal jelly that you mix honey with to reduce body heat.
I have this at least once or twice in a month and since I kept coming back to this outlet at Tropicana City Mall, the staff have gotten familiar with me and would know what I want without me saying anything.
Also, their herbal teas is something to have if you’re on the go.

Koong Woh Tong is located at Tropicana City Mall Lower Ground level. They serves herbal tea as their main product. This shop can be easily recognize due to its traditional Chinese style decoration concept.
You can see quite a number of people dropping by to order a bowl of their herbal beverage every day. The herbal beverages are made for clearing heat and dampness, replenishing qi, supplying fluid, nourishing yin and checking yang. Herbal tea are usually referred as «cooling teas» because of their bitter flavor, dark brown color and the cool or cold properties of their ingredients.
My favorite are their «guai ling gou», a jelly dessert that is black in colour and it said to cool your body down from heat. They serve it together with a pot sugar hence you can drizzle to taste, else it might be too bitter to consume. Get their herbal tea too, very natural taste and low in sugar, definitely recommended for a quick health boost!

If you’ve been before to Ipoh, this will remind you a lot of that place. The restaurant is quite small, with just a few tables, but the interior deign is amazing. Everything looks to be made from gold and it give a lot on Chinese atmosphere.
I like the place because the food and the tea from here will always make you feel better and will give a boost to your immune system. The staff is amazing and very friendly. I like them because they take a huge care of the customer. Beside the food and the amazing tea, they have delicious deserts, which is also created with the purpose of taking care of your body in a healthy way.
Overall: 10*. I will definitely go here ago.

One of the places that reminds me of Ipoh, my home in Kuala Lumpur now. We all know how hectic life can be if you’re living in Kuala Lumpur, and it’s already so common now for people like us to fall sick. The most common sickness would be flu and viral fever now?
I always come here when I’m feeling feverish and needed something to boost my immune system. They have the special ‘five flower tea’ tea here which you can request for them to add the extra herbal powder if you are feeling really bad.
For me, the tea is really effective, and usually if I rested well the same night I will instantly feel better the very next day.
If you are a dessert person, do try out their turtle jelly here! It’s called ‘Gui Ling Gao’ in Chinese and it’s said to be made of the turtle’s shell? Hmm, and it’s also well-​known that it’s very good for heaty body, so it’s dessert+goodness for your body, why not?
They will give you a citrusy chewable sweet after you finish your bitter tea, so that you will feel slightly better after gulping it down. This always remind me of my grandmother who will do that to me too. So, that’s the nostalgic part of it.
But, do make sure that they don’t charge you wrongly, as the tea with and without herbal powder are very different price wise. So, there’s once that they mistakenly charged me for the price with herbal powder, just remember to check yea.
