My family and I just came here for dinner. Let’s just say that I am pretty disappointed. Well, to begin with, I like the deco here — the pictures on the brick wall. Cool stuff. But then, it was extremely warm in the restaurant — my dad and brother were actually sweating! We had the half and half 18′ pizza pie of Tony Soprano and the Hawaiian chicken. The Tony Soprano was really good! But besides that, the Hawaiian chicken was really disappointing — we struggled to finish it even. We had a slice of Mushroom pizza and the classic NY pizza — both were just decent. We went for one of the upgrades, so we also had the waffle fries(Manhattan) which was quite good and the buffalo boneless chicken wings which were um, not good. So generally, I am pretty disappointed with the food here — maybe because I expected so much more. Oh well.

One of the pizza places which sell really large slices of pizzas separately. This place is tucked outside of the shopping mall. Just walk towards the same floor as 7-eleven/KK mart, you will find it. This place is decorated with sorta New York-y feel. Black and white photos, newspaper articles and other stuff. The pizzas are baked freshly daily. There are all sorts of flavours/toppings. Such as classic new york pizza, bbq chicken pizza, pizza bianco, sweet hawaiian pizza and so on. So far, i have tried the pizza bianco(different types of cheese pizza), classic new york pizza and sweet hawaiian pizza. It taste good. Different than dominos/papa johns/pizza hut. The size of the slices are quite big. Bigger than the usual slice of pizzas from the generic brands. The price of the pizzas(per slice) is between RM8.88 to RM15.88. So, take a pick. I also have tried the boneless buffalo chicken. It’s spicy! Beverage: I normally take mineral water. Overall rating: 4⁄5(large slices of pizza!!!) Price Rating: 3⁄5

When I stepped foot through the doors of this restaurant, it felt like i was visiting a pizza parlour in downtown New York; Paintings and photos of famous American people were all plastered on the walls. It definitely placed a New York State of Mind in a customer’s head. Pizza slices here range from about(RM8−10++) and it each sliced were pretty big. Not your average sized delivery pizzas. The pizza here was equally all thin crusted and greasy bursting with flavor. If you are planning to go and is your first time, try«The Classic», topped with mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce and other ingredients; the simplicity of this slice is just perfect! There are also set meals, where you choose a slice of pizza+waffle fries and even a drink at a standard price. Prices vary on which set you choose of course. To be frank, I only come to Mikeys for their yummy slices of pizza. I’m not a big fan of their waffle fries because to me, I thought it was very doughy and not crunchy. The cheese on the fries didn’t melt really well, as it just only covered the top layer of the fries only. The place isn’t very crowded here and you can manage to find a decent place to sit each hour. Parking on the other hand, can be quite hard to find unless you park by the street or opt for valet parking.

Heard from a friend that this place offers one of the most spicy pizzas around. I dropped by and I realized a slice its not cheap but at the same time is huge. A full round pizza cost about rm 70 – 90 but you can actually share of a party of 4⁄5. The spicy one that I wanted to try was the 911. It is stuffed with herbs, dried chili in the middle and lots of spices. I heard if you could finish the whole 911 pizza of 8 slices you would be reward beautifully with $$. Honestly, I could handle the spicyness but the portion is too big for me. So I didnt pick up the challenge but hey, I would definitely return as the pizzas here are dope!

Finally a good pizza joint in Publika! At first I thought how can one slice be enough? But I was delightfully wrong. The slices here are huge. I tried the Classic New York Pizza it was cheese-tastic, just the right amount of grease, the thickness of the dough was just nice it wasn’t too thick or too thin and thee cheese, well the cheese just melts in your mouth. I decided to upgrade to a set meal and was not disappointed. The upgrade I chose came with one soft drink and a choice between two different types of fries, I had the Staten Island. I had very pleasant experience here, the restaurant’s décor was interesting; the walls were filled with posters and photos Broadway musicals, really giving the place a New York kind of vibe. So if you are looking for a good slice of pie in Publika, I would high recommend Mikeys!

Everyone’s been buzzing on Mikey’s for awhile now. Mikey’s been on the role for their New York sized pizza. It’s huge, as huge as your face. I honestly have tasted better but they have decent pizza. Their waffle fries are amazing, the cheese to waffle ratio is on point. It would cost you about 25rm for a good meal. Parking is convenient because you can just park at the basement. It’s not too packed so it’s pretty nice to have dinner or lunch there. It’s nice to have some American pizza for a change in KL though!

I have never been to New York(as in the States). I was introduced to this pizza place at Publika by a friend who is more of a foodie than I am, and she had lived in the Big Apple before. According to her, the pizza at this place made her tear up — literally — because it brings back so many memories of the time she lived in the States. So, I have to take her word for it, and I can finally see that she’s not exaggerating. Now, I’m not one who is too picky when it comes to food, but the pizza here is certainly something like no other I’ve tried before! And you don’t have to go to the US of A for that. The pizzas are ready made and sold by the slice rather than a whole cake, but their slices are huge though. For the average appetite, 2 to 3 slices is more than enough to leave you feeling stuffed. Plus, you get to pick from several flavours. In case you’re planning a big party, you can order a whole pan, or a mix of different flavour slices that to make up one whole pizza. They also offer delivery services around KL and the Klang Valley.

Mikey’s New York Pizza is the newest novelty restaurant that opened in Publika, and is perhaps the only place in Malaysia that sells a pizza for per slice. Of course, the taste itself could rival the franchise pizza parlors in Malaysia. The Meatball Marinara is exceptionally good, and is portioned so as to accommodate to the size of what a typical Malaysian can consume with their stomachs. The four sauces are extremely tasty, with blue cheese being my personal favorite. However, with the price tag that is slapped on each slice, I do not recommend it for those who wants to spend more than RM10 for a ‘mere slice of pizza’. It is purely novelty in my opinion, and it might be able to fill your stomach as much as you want it to.

For serious pizza addicts only! Haha, no honestly — this place has amazing selection of pizza’s with topping recipe’s from New York, as it says so by the name! I have met the owner once and his name is Mike and is from New York. He has been living here for a while and now and I know they used to have an outlet in Bangsar, I’m not sure if they still do but a new outlet at Publika is now open. If you believe that you are a Mutant Ninja Turtle, you can get your dose of pizza’s here. Best Pizza in town I’d say!

Been hearing a lot about this place so I came to get my pizza fix. Because I wasn’t aware of how this place works, I was surprised to see that pizzas are actually ready made, and you are supposed to order yourself at the counter and all they do is warm it up and send it to your table. Looking into the glass counter with the huge slices of pizzas, it looked like they’ve probably been there for hours — looking some what dried up and stale. You only get fresh pizzas if you order it whole. Claimed to be the«Spiciest in Asia», I ordered the 911 pizza, along with Pizza Bianco, and the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Price ranging from RM10.88 — RM14.88, they were quite big slices. We upgraded our order and added RM13, which gave us a Boneless Buffalo Chicken and one soft drink. The 911 pizza was pretty much loaded with red & green chilli(seeds in), some dried up cheese, tasteless tomato base on top of stale dough. I wasn’t really impressed with it as all I tasted was chilli and chewy bread, needless to say I didn’t finish my pizza. The Bianco was not bad, there was a dollop of different kinds of cheese that were infused with olive oil and garlic, it was tasty enough but not great. I did like the combination of blue cheese on top of the Buffalo Chicken that gave it this extra twist to it but then again, the chicken was dry and all my pizza doughs were just plain dry and stale! Well, the Boneless Chicken was the only thing that we finished that night. Deep fried with hot sauce, it was not bad with the blue cheese dipping. Perhaps traffic isn’t great hence pizzas aren’t on the go and made fresh. I love pizzas but this didn’t do it for me. I’d rather order Dominos.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time now, which I finally did. Lots of my friends were telling me about this place which serves delicious pizzas. I didn’t go to the outlet in Bangsar, instead I went to the one in Publika, Solaris Dutamas. Must be a fairly new outlet as I’ve never seen it during my daily routine to the area. Walking into the restaurant, the first thing that hit me was the stuffy heat inside. Man do I dislike poor ventilation. Food wise, they have variety of pizzas to choose from and of cause I’ll always go for their signatures. It was a Classic New York and a Meatball Marinara. I also opt for the upgrade with a drink and Waffle Fries. When the pizzas arrived, I was fairly disappointed with the serving size. I’d expected more for the price I’m paying, but don’t get me wrong, the taste was good, just not as worth as it is to me. Classic New York was a so-so, lacked some flavor. However, the Meatball Marinara was amazing, especially the marinara sauce which complements the meatballs. Also, the Waffle Fries I got from the upgrade option was not bad. It would not be as good without the sauces they serve it with though. It comes with four types which are the Beef Gravy, Roasted Mayo, Blue Cheese, and Classic Ketchup. I wouldn’t say its at a reasonable price, but give it a try if you’re a pizza lover.
