This is quite possibly the best Nasi Lemak I’ve had in KL. Located at the Sentul market which is also the Pusat Transformasi Bandar Sentul, I chanced upon this place while waiting to collect my passport at the immigration office in the same building. The stall maintained a queue all morning and for good reason. I ordered a Nasi Lemak with Sambal Sotong and it completely blew my mind. Maybe being very hungry and dining in seemingly authentic, less-than-hygienic surroundings added to the experience, but I must, the the Nasi Lemak here is outstanding. The sambal was just the right level of spiciness, and it was aromatic, sweet, and very flavourful. Perhaps I have become conditioned by sambal that is sourish or plain spicy. The sambal sotong added another layer of flavour, with the sotong itself cooked until just the right texture. Many of us from other parts of KL would never have come by to this place if not for the immigration office, but this Nasi Lemak might just be worth a trip.
