I walk past this place a lot, but had no real excuse to stop in until a few days ago: I was waiting to go to One Mic Stand upstairs and they had a 20% discount on their cakes every Tuesday. Coincidence, I think not. Anyway, had their Seriously Chocolate cake and it’s seriously good… if you like fudgy brownies. That’s the best I can compare it to. And it also comes with a scoop of Sangkaya’s coconut ice cream on top, drizzled with chocolate and gula melaka(?) syrup. Will definitely go back to try the other cakes and maybe the drinks.

Salt ‘N Koffie is one of the main highlights in Jaya One, where its pastries and desserts are amazing, and has been attracting humans ever since its opening. One of their best selling dishes will be its Tiramisu cake, where the dough is encased in a jar and is then served to you in this manner. The creaminess of the cake is unparalleled, and while many other cafes have started to do that, their tiramisu tastes the best by far, and should attract a lot of customers to come just for that. Their ambience is almost the same as any other café, but with a much lighter feel due to the more modernistic view on their desserts. Apparently, their Salt ‘N Koffie cake tastes amazing too, but I am afraid I fear a cardiac arrest too much to want to try that slice of guilty pleasure.

Salt ‘N Koffie is a small but very cosy café in Jaya One. Judging from the interior, is easy to tell that the owner loves plants a lot, and I love the wooden furniture in the café. The coffee there was aromatic and not overly strong. One of their signature coffee is The Salty Koffie. They added a pinch of salt into the coffee to give it that mild savoury taste to it. It’s pretty unique, I would say. Apart from coffee, they have some pretty amazing cakes too. If you like tiramisu then you should try their Tiramisu Jar, it’s really moist and nice.

Want find a corner to calm your nerve down after a week of busy working? I am here recommend you Salt N Koffie Gallery. A new café in Jaya one, located just opposite The School. You can choose to sit outside or indoor. I preferred to sit inside, because it has air-conditioner and also because it has sofa and pillows. It is so comfortable that I am not willing to leave this place. They serves famous Sangkaya coconut ice-cream; however, I didn’t get myself one. I ordered a cup of hot chocolate and a piece of tou fu fah cheese cake. The hot chocolate was topped with few pieces of marshmallows. I personally don’t really like the taste of marshmallow with chocolate. So, I would prefer it was not added into my drink. The hot chocolate was sweet and less milky. For people who love milky hot chocolate may find it below expectation; else, it is a very great hot chocolate. In Salt n Koffie, they serve uncommon flavors of cakes. I tried out their tou fu fah cheese cake, it was delectable. I bet the syrup on top was ginger white sugar syrup, same with the one we will add into our tau fu fah. The cake was soft, the taste of tau fu fah and cheese was strong; it was a perfect match! I am not sure what the base was made of; however, it has the coconut flavor. Maybe it was made by coconut? Overall, Salt n Koffie Gallery is highly recommended. It is not a hidden café; however, since Jaya One’s population is still under development, this place is less crowded; especially during weekend. If you are seeking for a café like this, you shouldn’t miss Salt n Koffie!

What with a million coffee shops opening around PJ, sometimes it is hard to stand out. Luckily for Salt n’ Koffie, it doesn’t have to try very hard. Already located in a hard to miss spot in Jaya One, it has seen many come and go pass its doors. I had the Salty Coffee and true enough there was a tinge of saltiness, but just the right amount to bring out the flavors of the coffee. A great beverage to kick the mid-day drowsiness out of you. Despite having just added outdoor seat, the place can get pretty filled up on weekends and during teatimes especially. But I like to come here on weekdays where it is more calm to enjoy a cup of coffee, cake and wifi.

I have never been to such a cozy, warm café where it feels just like home. This café is opened by my best friend’s cousin so i thought i would pay a visit to support. It is just opposite the entrance of The School and recently they opened a booth Sangkaya Coconut Ice Cream just beside. As you enter, the barista will greet you and ask for your order and if they have the Tiramisu in a jar(MUSTBUY) or the signature Salt & Koffie Cake. I love how the played around the decorations in terms of colors and arrangements of the seats. It somehow feels like your hanging out under a porch with pretty flowers, wood tables and coffee and cakes. A must try place when you are at Jaya One. Outdoor Seating — No Wifi — Yes
