Nice bowling alley! They used to be quite run down in the past, till they refurbished it like a couple of years back. They have a pool area and also the bowling area. The interiors looked more modern and fresh after the renovation and that actually attracted more people to them. This is an ideal spot for friends gathering or maybe a weekend activity. You can park your car on the 4th floor(New Wing) and you will be directly lead to this place without going up and down the escalators to look for them. Service was pretty decent here and you can have food and drinks served here as well. I will strongly recommend this place for a weekend activity and when you are done, you may want to head upstairs to the arcade or maybe head to the cinema for a movie :)

Ahh. Bowling… It’s one of my favorite activity back in my secondary years. I love going bowling with a bunch of friends. However, ever since after secondary school, I’ve never stepped into any bowling alley. One day, my colleagues suggested that we have some group activities together. Initially, they suggested badminton. But most of us was just too lazy. We ended up with the easier more relaxing alternative which is bowling! So, we went to One Utama for dinner and U-bowl(located same floor with GSC cinema) for bowling after our meal. It’s been a long while since I bowl. Bowled like a total noob. To my surprise, the bowling alley was quite active even on a weekday. Though the bowling alley is quite huge(with many lanes), they are almost 80% occupied. After a few round, I actually understand why. Bowling is actually quit fun! Most importantly, it doesn’t require much energy and sweating(bowling area is air conditioned! :p). Hehe. I’m such a lazy bum. I find that bowling is a healthy and fun activity doesn’t matter how old you are. Great activity for team bonding. Most importantly, it is not an expensive sports(unless you go ‘pro’ and get your own bowling ball etc.)

Need not to say, U-Bowl is a bowling center where we can play bowling. My friends and I went there few times. To be honest, I don’t know how to play bowling. But I tried my best to play. The facilities were under good maintenance. It is near GSC cinema at One Utama Shopping Center. So, if you drive there, it is very convenient if you park at level 4, old wing. Normally, me and my friends go playing when we wait for our movie to start. Don’t need to walk far, you can play and rest there before movie. We rent the shoes there and when return, the receptionist will refund to us. Other than bowling, U-Bowl has pool games too. It was paid by round, instead of hours. So for us, we think it is a good idea because we don’t want to pay for extra hours when waiting for movie to start. Token can be changed from the machine. By the way, if you want to play bowling, U-Bowl has offered membership and also student price. Student price is the cheapest! So, for student, do use your privileges. Overall, U-Bowl is recommended for those who love bowling, and if you are waiting for movie next time, U-Bowl is also an excellent place to go.
