Santa Clara is a chain of ice cream shops and dairy products. I live a few blocks from one in DF but had never tried it. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the ice cream is! Maybe it was because it was 90 degrees out and I was sweating like a dinner in church, but this ice cream was awesome! I tried the mint chocolate chip and one scoop was plenty– really generous! Good texture and flavor, too. I’ll definitely keep Santa Clara on my short list of ice cream places to frequent. I withheld one star because the flavors were good but not creative — just the basics.

Santa Clara is a nationwide ice cream/​coffee chain. Yet, despite that fact it might offer some of the best ice cream around. It’s a little pricier than I want to pay, since it tastes a lot like the ice cream that you can buy at the grocery store (the good kind). Still, while a lot of ice cream in this country tends to be characterized by a certain icy consistency, Santa Clara’s ice cream is defined by its creaminess. Definitely try Santa Clara if you’re looking for something different.
