Excellent all the way around. food, service, drinks, location. Stopping in here on our daily beach walk and for dinner was one of the highlights of our vacation. Lots of great seafood combos or just make your own. Great entertainment daily and nightly.

You cant beat the view from the beach side dinner but not the best food we have had.

Came here on a rainy day, and were still able to sit at a covered table on the beach. Fun atmosphere — and Eric, our waiter, was fantastico! Huge portions — hubs and I shared the big combination platter of garlic butter grilled lobster, rib eye, coconut shrimp and scallops. Good ceviche & totopos.

The food is great, but the live music is unbelievable! Great view, located right on the beach! Eat with your toes in the sand.

One of our best memories ever. On a first trip to Nuevo Vallarta in 2011 my wife and I found this place entirely by accident, courtesy of a midday walk down the beach from our hotel. After a short wait we got set up under a palapa facing the stunningly scenic Banderas Bay(complete with pelicans galore cruising back and forth as if they knew we were coming that day), and soon had ice-cold Pacifico and some of the best shrimp ever in front of us. Not embarrassed at all to say our«lunch» stop lasted a solid 8 hours — several days into our vacation this was precisely where and when«vacation» took hold. Didn’t care what time it was(we were watch-less so we lost track altogether), and had no place to be except right there with each other. Perfection. Three years later we were back. Palapas. Check. Stunning Banderas Bay and all our pelican friends. Check check. Relaxing, bare feet-in-the-sand beach eating at its finest. Check check check, And — again — minutes morphed into hours. About 7 this time around. Still no shame in our game.

Stunning view, can literally sit at a table right on the beach but that does nothing to make up for the extremely poor customer service. Our waiter was really rude, and mumbled under his breath quite a lot. We ordered nachos and they were decent, fresh pico de gallo and good guacamole. Quite pricey though.

Amazing! Our waiter, Eric, was very friendly and helped us make our decision for dinner. We got way more food than two people could ever eat, but we got a great selection. And REALLY good food, too. We got the fish ceviche appetizer(about one dollar) which was very tasty and fresh. The combo we got had three selections(about $ 50). The lobster was cooked well, drenched in a crispy garlic butter. The scallops(15 of them!), were done just right, and the gigantic shrimp were insanely good. We got the coconut shrimp and the tequila sauce shrimp(7 total shrimp). On top of all that there was rice, bread and fruit. Such a great deal for so much yummy food. Two appetizers, two big margaritas, four beers, bottled water, the dinner and desserts came to $ 100. Great deal for what we got.

Our visit was for dinner. Had been watching this place for some time as we regularly go to Bucerias. We had heard from several people to go there. When we went, the server was friendly. The food on the other hand, overpriced, and over cooked. Not good quality products used. Margaritas«touted as best in town». weak and too sweet and yet again pricey. Also located right next to the street vendor walk.

While strolling up the beach from Nuevo Vallarta, we stumbled upon this place after weaving and dodging the merchants at the Bucerias flea market. Fat Boy has an upper level seating inside the building and a number of tables on the sand. The view is glorious and relaxing and marginally worth putting up with the mediocrity of the service and food. Service is inattentive and flat. Not friendly or rude, just kind of there… when they are actually there. The food is way too Americanized(or Canadianized) and lacks any true authenticity. Food was overcooked and heavily salted. If you have issues with being constantly approached by hawkers, do not even bother stopping. You can’t get more than a bite in before being approached by vendor after vendor after vendor. They’ll even send toddlers to the tables to try the«aaaawwwwww» approach. At best, Fat Boy is good for a couple beers and light snack. Save your appetite for somehwere else.

We go here every trip… the seafood is fresh(Tony has his own fishing boats — according to him). The shrimp are the best and the combinations are very very tasty. The waiters speak English and your food comes out the way you ordered it. There are lots of stores surrounding the plaza/malecon with lots of local flavor. This review brought to you by Diane of
