La Deli by Guido’s

What a wonderful find in Cozumel! Mellow warm feel and friendly staff. We chose a table in the garden courtyard a great place to hang out and enjoy the garden. They have sandwiches, salads and baked good as well as breakfast all day, and daily specials. We had a breakfast plate (waffles, ham, eggs) a daily special (chili relleno stuffed with cheese and topped with homemade sauce) and a couple of fresh juices (green drink with pineapple, celery, and nopales – tart, herbal, fresh) and freshly squeezed orange juice. The special came with a dessert which turned out to be a heavenly mango pudding. The pudding was silky and just sweet enough with amazing fresh mango. The woman who does the cooking waited on us and was really helpful in explaining the menu. Great experience all round for a really reasonable price. We will be back soon.

We went for breakfast as it was included in our stay at Hotel Guido’s just down the street. With a name like «deli» I was expecting a small bagel shop. What a pleasant surprise — The place is gorgeous! We sat out back in the garden. My husband had the huevos rancheros and I had eggs and bacon. The menu is all very fresh and healthy. It is managed by Lily who was so gracious and accommodating our entire trip. There is also a good selection of meets, cheeses, Artisanal breads, olive oils, etc. Coffee was great! We will return!
