¿tienes prisa?

I’ve eaten here several times over the years and it was always perfect. Especially the sopa azteca. But it seems they have grown complacent. The soup wasn’t great and the enchiladas verdes were just ok. What a disappointment.

The environment is totally worth it. Flamingos and peacocks roaming around freely on the grounds. Food was great, sangria’s were to die for. They gave us complimentary dessert which was a shot of Kahlua!

They have a flamingo that follows arround the live music«trio» and joins in as they sing ballads. Need I say more? I’ve been coming here since I was a child and chased the peacocks. Often they chased me back. The place still remains a fixture of Cuernavaca, and any Mexican family that comes to spend the weekend feels obliged to come at least once. Breakfast is better, but the candle light ambience make dinner quite an experience too. The food is a mix of traditional Mexican, french cuisine dishes and steak, along with some exotic Mexican appetizer that include ants eggs(escamoles) and maguey worms. The downside is that it recently ratcheted up it’s prices significantly. The service is also very slow, so come prepared to wait.

This hotel and restaurant has the potential of bring AWESOME! They have some beautiful gardens with exotic birds walking by you! Flamingos, peacocks, toucan, etc! They have an on menu but OMG they have the slowest and most inefficient service ever! The place isn’t cheap either and all the Mexican«socialite» goes there for their big Sunday dinner! It takes you ALL day to get a drink and they put you at a table supposedly when your food is ready but it is not! They leave the food in trays until everyone’s food comes out so basically everything gets cold by the time the bring it to your table! Awful awful! If you want a good Mexican food experience in a beautiful setting go to Hacienda de Cortes a few miles away!
