This is a review for the Inn and Vineyard. Oh my goodness, what a gem this is! I went there this last weekend with a couple of friends for my birthday celebrations and stayed for B and B in the Adobe Inn. Everything was simple amazing! We were given such a warm welcome by the manager Mathilde, who met us at the gate and shown us to our room which was beautiful. She then asked us where we would like to sit to have a welcoming glass of wine(which was associated with our room — the 6 rooms are not numbered but named after the wines that they make — ours was Miguel which actually turned out to be my favorite wine). We then had lunch at The Food Truck — but make no mistake, this is no ordinary food truck! The food is out of this world and the service is great and very warm and friendly. After that, we did our wine tasting in the beautiful cellars on the grounds(not the wine shop near the Food Truck), again beautiful surroundings and knowledgable girl serving us. Later we had an amazing 5 course meal with wine pairings in the beautiful Adobe dining room, service was superb — friendly, efficient but not overpowering. Thank you so much for the beautiful birthday cake — it was so yummy. Suppers are pre-booked only for guests staying there, I believe, and on our arrival we were told, almost apologetically, that the meal is just what the chef has — there is no choice. We were absolutely fine with that. We had a delicious Italian ham, cheese and melon to start with; follow by soup and then a salad(or it might have been the other way around, lots of wine by then); and then salmon with potatoes and asparagus; and finally finishing up with a very elegant chocolate birthday gateaux. The next morning, we ate breakfast in the Adobe kitchen — a beautiful large working Farmhouse kitchen. All the guests that stay there sit around a huge communal table and the chef and her helpers(they were also the ones who had cooked and served for us the night before) serve you to order, and you actually see your breakfast being made. Among other things we had freshly squeezed juice from oranges grown on the property and fresh eggs from their own chickens(we’d seen the chickens the day before). We were actually sitting across the table from a young couple who we learned lived about 5 mins from us in San Diego! After breakfast we had a leisurely walk around the beautiful grounds — such pretty vibrant colors everywhere. We strolled down to the stables and were greeted by one of the stable dogs, who decided it was his/her job to be our host and guide us through the barn and down through the olive trees to see more of the horses and it then stayed with us while we chatted with a female groom who made us feel very welcome. The Adobe is such a beautiful, relaxing place to stay — we knew immediately that we will be going back. I can’t speak highly enough of everything here which is why I am writing the review but I have to say I’d rather keep it a secret just in case it gets too popular! On a side note, I see it has been given $$$$s — maybe this is considered expensive for Mexico but it was totally worth it and not as expensive as it seems. We had two twin beds and for an extra $ 30 Mathilde added a futon and breakfast and wine tasting for an extra person — ended up being about $ 80 a head for accommodation, wine tastings, a very nice substantial breakfast, and a complimentary glass of wine as well as free roam of the gorgeous property. Hope this helps.

Tasty wines with comparable prices for the area. The tasting packages come with preselected wine combinations, about 4 pours per package. Nice outside area with a food truck for enjoying your tasting or purchasing a glass of wine. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Loved this place! Didn’t need an appointment and was greeted with excellent wine and a delightful food truck. I don’t usually like Chardonnays, but I liked the tasting of the one I had here. The gal doing the tasting explained that the dryness of the valley means their Chardonnays have less of that oaky flavor that I dislike. The food truck food was delicious, but we are sad the chef didn’t feel comfortable serving the ceviche she had prepared. Though I don’t want to risk eating bad ceviche for a couple of reasons… I guess that means we’ll just have to go back!

This review is on the winery, we did not stay at the inn. We actually stopped here twice. One of the days we stopped here, we got a couple of wine tastings inside, and got a cheese board and some pineapple fresca from the food truck. The second time we came here, I picked up 3 bottles of olive oil for gifts. Both times the food truck ladies were so nice! The lady inside, not as much. She gave us a bit of a hassle when we wanted to sit outside with the wine tasting because they said we couldn’t bring the glasses outside. So if you go to the food truck and grab the glasses from them, then you can sit outside with the wine. Such a cute building it’s in! Becky said prior, the wine tasting was by reservation only, but now they built the new building, they are open daily to the public without reservations. The olive oil here is a lil more expensive than elsewhere, but the bottles are fancy and the olive oil is good here!

First time wine tasting in Ensenada and this place was one of the few stops. Beautiful vineyard, the cellar is also worth checking out. The tasting however was mediocore, didn’t have much selection. lots of reds and only one white… and also a bit on the pricier side… $ 20.00 U.S. but I enjoyed it very much…
