While on a Carnival cruise I chose to have a manicure/pedicure here on the recommendation of a bartender downtown. They cheated me as follows: I made the arrangement/appointment at 2:00 for 3:00. They had us pay in advance(it was a gift from my husband). It was 3:30 before they started and only one person so only time for manicure. I was her very first client EVER. She was sweet and slow as molasses. I opted to not have cuticles cut, not have hand massage and not have color as time would not allow and still it took so long I would not have time for pedicure before having to re-board the cruise ship. I tipped the girl very generously and we approached the desk for a partial refund. The person who gave me a manicure totally understood. However, the manager of the salon REFUSED to refund money for the pedicure I DIDNOTRECEIVE due to their poor time management. I felt as though I’d been robbed. The manager of the Hotel came and talked to us after we repeatedly asked to see him. He said she would give us a partial refund but when we went back into the salon she DIDNOT! Live and learn I guess. I will never pay for a service beforehand ever again. Also, would never go back to Hotel Corona. I would like to mention though, the service in the bar was attentive and the drinks and food were wonderful.

I gave the Hotel Corona a 5 because of their fabulous service from all of the staff. In addition the rooms are very nice. They are not extravagant and not the latest in furnishings. But, they are nice enough and very clean. They also have AC which is important to us and the WIFI works well. There is a nice sized TV and DVD player on request. The restaurant has great food and service. We have stayed there 3 times so far this year and are very satisfied. They are always full so that should tell you something.
