Royal Palace Hotel

Elegant hotel in the heart of Hermosillo, Señora, Mexico. Approximately 15 minutes away from the local airport by taxi. The hotel is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. We unfortunately did not book a room in time and as a result, we stayed in a «three-​star» hotel just down the road from the Royal Palace. We attended a wedding reception at this hotel. Upon entering, it had a resort-​like feel to it. Entrance leads to the outside pool area. The reception was held in the main ballroom on the 2^nd floor. Along with the couple’s own wedding décor, the reception area included updated carpeting, tables, walls and light fixtures. The only reason I gave a 3 out of 5 stars for this hotel the delay in food service from the hotel catering. We were directed by the hotel manager/​hostess to be seated at 7pm. Drinks and appetizers were served at 8:30pm, and dinner was not served until 10:00pm. It was obvious that the hotel lacked an adequate number of staff to serve the 200+ people in attendance at this wedding reception.
