If you’re on any of the tours from Palenque that go to Bonampak, Yaxchilán, and other sites in the area, you’re likely to stop here at the Restaurant Yax-Lum. It’s a large thatched roof structure right off the Carretera Fronteriza del Sur(the road that diverts off of main Highway 307). Even though this simple place is still a bit touristy, the coffee, eggs, and fruit are delicious, especially on the foggy mornings that often hang over this area.
