Luz en Yucatan is a gem! The hotel is a beautifully remodeled colonial building in a great location close to the cathedral, shopping, and some of Merida’s best restaurants. Our room on the second floor was simple and clean. There was bottled water, coffee, as well as a refrigerator and microwave. The hotel has wi-​if but we could only get a signal on the shared terrace outside our room. Nice touches are the free beers when you arrive and the free shot cart in the lobby that is stocked with tequila and other various liquors.
