Hotel Toledo

Para todos aquellos que anden buscando un hotel barato en el cual hospedarse, este lugar es la mejor opción para ti y tu bolsillo. Es un hotel bastante sencillo con habitaciones reducidas, sabanas y toallas desgastadas, pero por el precio que se paga por habitación no debe haber quejas. Tienes agua caliente, agua para beber en la habitación y pantalla con cable, si quieres un control remoto para la televisión debes dejar un depósito de $ 100 en la recepción. El edificio consta con 5 niveles, un pequeño elevador y wi-​fi gratis que sólo tiene recepción en la planta baja del hotel. El servicio en la recepción no es de lo mejor, aunque lo que me encanta de este lugar es su ubicación ya que esta a una cuadra del palacio de bellas artes y la alameda, unas cuantas cuadras más de el zócalo capitalino y gran variedad de tiendas de todo tipo.
La mayoría de las personas solamente utiliza este hotel como un hotel de paso para tener sus aventuras amorosas y eso se puede escuchar en las habitaciones cuando intentas dormir y se escuchan gemidos y golpes en la pared. Es lo único que no me gusta porque en algunas noches no me han dejado dormir esos molestos ruidos.

14 – 17 August 2014: J and I stayed here on my father’s insistence. This is the ONLY reason why.
We arrived at the hotel from the airport around 1am and asked for a room. They didn’t have any, even though my dad said that the always do, but they gave us a double. We switched out to a single the next night.
You pay daily. If you leave the hotel for the day, the front desk person keeps the key until you return. Towels are old and scratchy. Everything is old. Beds are hard; I had to position myself around the springs to be able to sleep. The tv channels are pretty crap. Unless you’re into low quality porn. Hallways aren’t lit. The elevator it tiny. They claim to have Wi-​Fi, but you can’t even get a signal in the lobby.
They let a cat, Nicolas, roam around the lobby area, so if you’re allergic, you have that too look forward to.
One, if not the only upside about this hotel is the location: a block or so from Bellas Artes and the Palacio de Correos; you can easily walk to the Zocalo, la Catedral, and the Palacio Nacional. However, my Chilanga cousin did not care for this hotel at all. She said that the next time I’m there, that she’d help me find a less seedy-​looking place to stay.
