A great place to stay in Mexico City if you want a luxury hotel, great staff who speak English, and close to many museums and attractions. I stayed for 5 nights on the 16th floor and found my room large and very comfortable. Staff is great — very kind and accommodating. Starbucks downstairs(not sure if that’s a pro or a con, but note there is a good local coffee shop across the street). Breakfast was fine downstairs for about 260 pesos(14 or thereabouts uSD) and the bar is small but comfortable with a decent selection of about why you would expect. It’s about a 20 min walk in to the downtown and many museums. I liked the hotel a lot. More room and luxury that is necessary in life but it was lovely.

Location is the only thing standing between this place and five stars. Tabacalera is dead, dead, dead at night. Staff are outstanding — really first-rate — and the food is pretty good for a hotel. I stayed here ten weeks for work in the first half of 2015, and have never felt more comfortable in a hotel for an extended stay. Marco and Joshua, in the bar, are top-notch allies. Try to get an upper-floor room(less traffic noise) with a view over the Monument to the Revolution. It really gives a sense of place to one of the most atmospheric cities in the world.

Nice, clean, walking distance or short drive to all attractions. Pillows are plenty but I cannot figure out a combo that works.

This is the place to stay if you are visiting Mexico city for fun or business. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous. From the minute you walk in to your last day, the staff is happy and ready to help you. It’s situated in a great area as you are 20 – 30 mins away from attractions like El Zocalo, Chapultepec Park, Polanco, El Angel etc. The concierge gave me great recomendations such as visiting Frida Kahlo’s museum house in Coyoacan(270 pesos one way by private cab). The safest way to travel is by asking concierge for private cab. They will give you a set rate approved by hotel. I hired the driver for the day and went to visit the Pyramyds(45 mins away). This not only saved me time but I felt extremely safe knowing that I had a secure way back. It cost me about $ 100 for the day. If you go visit the pyramids, stop for lunch at La Gruta restaurrant right next to the Pyramid of the Sun — dining in a cave is a really cool experience.

Located along the Reforma Avenue, in the heart of the city’s business and cultural district, Le Meridien is a fantastic location to stay. The hotel is within walking distance to some of the city’s best sights and convenient for others by car. The service is impeccable from the front desk, concierge, maid service and maintenance. Everyone went above and beyond to help me enjoy my stay. My luxurious suite boasted an inviting modern décor and excellent view of the city. I was really impressed with the small, yet fully equipped gym and indoor pool. They also offer free bottle water and fruit in the gym. The room service from C’est La Vie, a bistro-style restaurant that serves French-inspired dishes and international cuisine inside the hotel was incredible! They made the best chicken breast ever! Le Meridien offers a safe and clean place to stay. I highly recommend.
