I absolutely loved my stay at the Radisson Hotel Flamingos. Let me explain why. Pros + All staff made their best effort to be helpful. + Rooms were clean. + Room requests(I specified a quiet room, and received one facing the inside) were honored. + Club Carlson status(Gold, in my case) was recognized with an upgrade to a Business floor suite. + A/C that regulated at the proper temperature. + Fast computers and WiFi. You would be surprised how frequently this is not the case, even in the USA. Despite what other reviewers have said, the immediate neighborhood was very safe. I had no issues traveling here, even in the evening(10pm) with my wife. A huge tip to save you some hassle: taking the Metro to this hotel is easy, but requires a little travel savvy. Unless you are familiar with the area, I recommend that you take the Metro to San Pedro de los Pinos. I know it is an extra step for many travelers, but the walk from this station is easy. You exit, and turn left, and walk about 5 minutes and you have arrived at the hotel. Once you are familiar with the area, you should make your way to Tacubaya station instead. It is about the same distance to the hotel, but often saves you a transfer. It is just a little complicated to walk to, since it requires you walking over a pedestrian bridge and the entrance is concealed by a small market. It took us about 10 extra minutes of walking around and asking for directions before we found it the first time, but subsequently it was quite easy.
