Granite Transformations

The sales rep from Granite Transformations stopped by one evening as scheduled and wasted 1.5 hrs of our time, which we will never get back, just to give an estimate for our kitchen countertops. She took all about 5 minutes at the end of her 1.5 hour spiel to do some random measurements and pull out an exorbitant, overpriced figure at the end.
We had very much told her that we had wanted the least expensive options available at the very start of our conversation. To begin with, she did not even carry a price sheet which we could look at and compare and select the type of countertop we had wanted. What kind of sales professional or company doesn’t even provide a price sheet for one to review?!
She pulled out about 4 samples of cultured granite tiles for us to view and the others were again WAY too expensive and were not shown to us! Moreover, She went on to say that doing backsplashes are VERY expensive! We have only about 12 sq ft of backsplash that we had wanted done in the kitchen!
Moreover, our kitchen is very small — we have only about 50 sq ft of counter space at the most. After, employing some major sales maneuvers and tactics and being full of herself, she pulls out a number out of the air — $ 8,000!!! That is $ 160 per sq ft!!! Ridiculously insane! On top of all that, she was trying to make it sound like she was giving us a deal. She was also trying to pressurize us into the deal, stating that the clock is ticking etc. The estimate was just written up on a blank piece of paper and not on the company’s letter head and there was no signature nor any guarantee of the price. Very unprofessional! If that was the lowest option available, I shudder to think what the most expensive one might be!
Overall, Granite Transformations is not budget friendly and is way overpriced and the countertops they provide are cultured and not solid granite either. They just overlay existing counters with their product for a price that is about 3X more than solid granite! The sales person they sent was unprofessional and full of it and wasted our time. I’ve read lots of reviews online from unsatisfied customers and it’s not worth the $. Stay away from them if you want the real thing that fits your budget and want satisfaction! Such an awful experience and a terrible waste of our precious time with the sales rep just giving us bullsh*t the entire time!
