De Local

Delivery was perfect for us as we didn’t feel like going out. The food arrived hot and fresh. We asked for no olives on the pizza but they were there! (Not too juicy and easy to remove). The mushroom risotto was done quite well (it’s hard to make good risotto)

Prompt and friendly service. Party of 6 with 4 children. Two different types of homemade bread and cheese pizza brought to the table. 4 sauces including habanero, pickled onions, chipotle mayo and chimi churri. Favorites were chipotle mayo and onions. Chimi churri didn’t have enough garlic and was on the vinegar side. Habanero wasn’t balanced. De local empanadas with chorizo and cheese were mild tasting but was flavorful. The 4 cheese empanadas was not liked by the majority because it has a sharp cheese flavor. The Cesar salad was not overly dressed, very tasty, shared by 4 and was an adequate size.
The steak sandwich was monstrous! Very thin steak with cooked ham and cheese. Came on homemade bun. Steak had pieces of gristle.
Lemon chicken was very tender And flavorful. Large serving. Mashed potatoes were thick but tasty. Grilled tuna was cooked according to temperature but was not as tender as expected. The tuna steak had good flavor and when mixed with some of the sauces worked well. The grilled vegetables of sweet potato, broccoli, asparagus, zucchini and eggplant were delicious. Overall we would recommend this restaurant. They are on far end of 5^th and worth the venture down.

Cuando te cansaron los tacos y la comida picante, nada mejor que pasar por este restaurante de comida Argenta.
Los platos son muy abundantes, pero como se acostumbra mucho acá, te llevas la vianda con lo que sobra. La atención es muy buena.
El precio es un poco más elevado que en otros resto, ya que en México es difícil encontrar nuestros sabores argentinos. Pero re vale la pena!!!

Yummy pizza and Caesar salad! Shots with the bar staff! What a great atmosphere for the end of a night on 5^th avenue!

The owner and the staff are the definition of chill. Very welcoming. With the food satisfying, and the margaritas strong, this was a good pick. I had a surprisingly good steak here. The pizza is worth ordering as well.

I picked De Local restore de Cequi because I was hungry. I did not know the restaurants in the area but the place looked appealing and there were people sitting inside and outside ordering food.
I ordered the Hamberguesa de local. It was excellent. So delicious. My novia ordered the pizza muzerella.
No complaints with the food only positive vibes coming from my taste buds.
My server was emmanuel. He was great. Friendly, and full of charisma.
I would eat here again.

This place is right around the corner and it was a great discovery. My steak was super fresh and reasonably priced. Free wifi and nice wine.

Ran into this place by accident and so glad we did. Wanted out of the hustle and noise of 5^th and just started waking. The adorable hostess got our attention but since we had just had dinner promised we would be back the next night. We returned and it was SO worth it. Our waiter, Santiago, is our most favorite of all in Playa with a smile that even melted my husband. The food was beyond great! The sauces they give you with your bread were an explosion of flavor. The salad, appetizer, and meal we shared was so impressive we booked our New Year’s Eve reservation that night. The portions are very generous and the quality and flavor are out of this world. Please don’t let the walk scare you away… It’s good exercise and the meal and service are more than worth the little stroll out from the same old stuff south on 5^th.

Está bueno, ni qué decir. A la pizza se le nota que es la versión argentina, de este clásico de la gastronomía italiana. No lo digo en mala forma, porque me atrevería a decir que es una versión optimizada de la misma, aparte de estar hecha súper atascada, como para satisfacer al tan afamado afilado diente del argentino (todavía no entiendo cómo en general son tan flacos).
Como soy de buen comer, más que de buenas costumbres propias de una dama, pedí la que ya me habían recomendado, de jamón serrano con arúgula, ¡bien buena y gigante! Me súper llenó y eso que soy de muy buen diente, lo peor es que ya no me cabía nada más después y los postres se veían deliciosos. Apenas probé el flan que pidió mi amigo porque se veía delicioso y me encantó, pero ya no me cabía.
Los precios son elevaditos y el servicio no es nada del otro mundo, pero está lleno de argentinos que seguro se sienten súper en casa. No sé si regresaría a comer, pero definitivamente sí pasaría por un postrecito.

Llegando al último lugar de la quinta avenida, cuando ya desaparece el molestoso ruido de la gente, te topas con, De Local. Un restaurante de comida argentina fusión. El local está hermosamente decorado y lo que más me gustó fue el tipo de iluminación que lo hace bien amigable y acogedor para una cena con los amigos. El servicio es de primera, están atentos de que nada te falte. Partimos pidiendo unas empanadas de roquefort con espinacas, si les cuento como estaban, les confirmo que les dará mucha hambre. Siempre bien acompañadas con nuestra copita de vino nocturna.
Llegó la reina de la noche, la pizza vegetariana, exquisita, simplemente, muy buena calidad, se nota que los productos son cien por ciento naturales. Los precios son un poco altos, pero para estar en la quinta, están bastante bien, además las pociones son bien grandes, así que vale totalmente la pena invertir en una buena cena y ojalá tengan la suerte de tener una buena plática con los amigos. En la carta también ofrecen, milanesa napolitana con papas, pastas, ensaladas, para los paladares difíciles. Puedes pedir a domicilio para llevar el sabor al calor de hogar, porque sí que hace calor en Playa.

Casi al final de todos los negocios de la parte nueva de la Quinta Avenida se encuentra este restaurante. En De Local se puede comer todo lo típico de los platillos argentinos, pero más rico. La sazón del chef es muy buena y, aunque suena muy similar al menú de cualquier otro restaurante de comida argentina, aquí tienen un toque especial. Desde las típicas empanadas y hasta un corte enorme, siempre estarás encantado con el sabor. Si llegas muerto de hambre, te recomiendo que pidas la milanesa, pero con dos huevos estrellados encima. Olvídate de la cantidad de proteína que estás ingiriendo y concéntrate en el sabor.
Pregunta por los descuentos y las promociones ya que siempre hay algo que te puede ayudar a gastar menos. Los martes son de 2×1 en pizzas. A mí me gusta comer ahí con una buena cerveza obscura… pero HELADA.

Después de ver tantos lugares que ofrecen «comida argentina» y lo único que sirven son empanadas es raro encontrar un lugar que tenga una variedad tan extensa de platillos originalmente Argentinos como «De local» y estoy cien por ciento seguro que mi padre, que resulta ser Arentino estaría feliz de corroborar mi opinión. Platillos como el choripan con el internacionalmente conocido chimichurri le traen recuerdos. Cabe mencionar que es difícil complacer un paladar tan exigente como el de mi padre, y por supuesto, el mío. Quedé encantado con toda la comida y la estética de «De Local.» La comida es por completo, otro nivel, no me hubiera esperado algo tan rico como lo que probé, y a un precio justo.

Have been here 4 times and we always order the same thing. The Milanesa de Pollo, with fries and a large house salad, as together they are truly enough to share. Only one time was the Milanesa (schnitzel) greasy and tough, but otherwise nice and crispy and flavorful. We usually put a little of the salad on top, Italian style Tri Colore. Service has been excellent and so so as they have changed staff a lot, but definitely worth a trip to this end of quinta, and very reasonable priced.

Piola may have the most well-​known pizza in Playa, but De Local could seriously give it a run for their money.
The namesake ‘De Local’ pizza comes with chorizo, onions and a hearty helping of chilis on a perfectly charred, buttery crust that would bring an Italian to tears.
While their small pizzas are more expensive than Piola (~160 vs. ~110 pesos), the large pizzas are actually cheaper! If you have three people it’s a steal to split, and you’ll walk away stuffed with leftovers.
They also provide some fantastic bread and homemade dips that are soooooo good I practically begged them for more!
