While wintering in the Yucatan in 2014 – 15, my spouse and I were seeing kiters all day long and decided to try it for ourselves, FYI we should mention that we are well past our spring chicken years(53 – 47). Therefore safety and proper instructions were required. My spouse and a friend had tried it with another organization that was not a Certified and were quite discouraged. I watched them struggle and was sure there would be no way you would get me in there. We then found this place and met with Angel, at the time Tim was reassured by all the safety and instructional directives he received(not to mention a life jacket and helmet). While there I chatted it up with a lovely lady from the states who was having a lesson after us, she spoke so highly of the experience that I actually decided to give it a try. I have thus far had a few lessons, and while it’s not as easy as they make it look, it is totally worth doing right. Take lessons from this school and you will have a solid base to learn how to love the sport. All his staff are friendly, many speak more than one language(I heard Spanish, French, German, and of course English), they are patient and want the experience to feel safe and gratifying. The prices are in line with others and they are located just past Progreso center, on calle 132, enjoy.
