Ah que buenos pollos, los frijoles y salsa el complemento perfecto, una buena distracción al paladar después de una semana completa de muy sabrosos mariscos.

We enjoy coming to Puerto Penasco. We have come here three years in a row. After a while you start looking for new things to do and new places to eat. LUCAS POLLO IS THE BEST CHICKEN EVER. If I could I would eat here every night. The only bad part of this restaurant is, it’s closed on Wednesday, bummer.

Reminds me of El Pollo Loco, just much better. Great Chicken freshly grilled which turns into great tacos. Good salsa, rice and beans, excellent tortillas! Very busy at lunch, we arrived just before it got packed.

The chicken, the tortillas (especially the harina), the beans and the salsa are fantastic! The rice is also very good.
The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is from a poor experience one time when I was there for a to-​go order. I asked for cold rice and beans. (They microwave them in plastic containers and that doesn’t sit well with me). The owner or manager refused to let me take them cold. Also, she turned away the couple in front of me and made me got down the street to an ATM because she didn’t have change for a $ 20 bill. But, she could have easily given us change in pesos.
I gave them one more try recently and the food is too good not to give 5 stars. But, I think the owner/​manager is just not that friendly or grateful for the business so I have to go with 4.

Great food — chicken, rice, beans, tortillas, horchatas — so good! And it’s safe!
Outdoor eating, bathrooms are acceptable, good prices.
Lots of beggars outside.

Luca’s Pollo is fabulous! As you walk in you’re taken away with this great BBQ aroma of chicken on the grill. Lots of big tables that are meant for large groups or for sharing. Place has a thatched roof and open air sides.
Menu is easy. Chicken, Chicken or Chicken! You can get a whole, half or quarter. 2 people can finish off a whole one for just $ 12.00 (US). It comes with plenty of tortillas, bowl of hot sauce and a plate with pickled red onions and shredded cabbage. For an extra $ 1.25 each you can get sides of rice, beans macaroni salad or cold soup. They also have soft drinks and beer.
The chicken is incredible. Nice and moist with a delicious grilled flavor. No wonder the place was busy at 4pm! Service was fast and the place is great to bring the kids and all the relatives!
