The restaurant sits on stilts in the water. Great views food was good. No A/C. Service was good nothing to complain about.

Met a couple we hadn’t seen for a long time and they recommended this place which I had seen good reviews. We had already eaten so we of course ate again. The tortilla soup was really really good. The depth of the broth was better than I’ve had before and I’ve had some good tortilla soup. We also sampled a shrimp bacon wrapped dish which I mean can you screw that up. It was… delicious of course. Service was good too. Cannot remember the servers name but they were setting up for a wedding reception or something the next day while we were still hanging around and they treated us like family.

We decided to stop in here for some delicious seafood on our way out of Rocky Point, and we were thrilled! The place is on stilts, out over the water, providing beautiful views of Rocky Point. It was very affordable and the quality was exceptional. I had«the Point» margarita, which was half mango and half strawberry. I thought«wow, that’s huge, I’m never going to be able to drink that», but be careful because these things go down –EASY-. My meal was a delicious fish, stuffed with scallops and shrimp and smothered in a creamy caper sauce and accompanied by veggies and rice. WOW. It was so fresh, hot and delicious! In our party of nine, everyone felt well taken care of, and no one had any problems with their food. The parking situation is a little annoying, as there are a lot of people hassling you to look in their shops… but keep on going, because this place is worth it!

We have eaten like McGlew here several times while RV camping at the Reef RV park on Sandy Beach. First, it has a wonderful location — sitting on stilts out over the water. Next, the service has been great — prompt, friendly and professional. Finally, the food and drinks are very good — fresh and perfectly cooked and prepared.

The Point is an absolute must if you are in Puerto Penasco! My family and I have been vacationing here for several years and have tried many of the local establishments. The Point is our absolute favorite spot. The food is outstanding, the service is attentive and friendly and the Cadillac margaritas are the best we have ever tasted. Perfect spot to enjoy fantastic views and sunsets. Can’t wait to visit again.

Review late in coming. Well deserving of 5 stars. Service from staff was very good, food was very delicious and well prepared. The views from the balcony are just amazing and allow for a great romantic sunset. Prices for the type and amount of food were more than reasonable. Coconut shrimp an absolute must. Overall a definite winner!

The view is spectacular… Especially at sunset… The service was mediocre and the food was just«meh» — don’t think we will be back… Took a really long time to be seated and there was no one there! Waiter kept disappearing.

Have not been in a while, but this is a review for all of previous visits! The view is WOW! THe food is very good! Fried fish and chips, steamed fish and shrimp dishes are pretty good. Beer is cold. THis is more for her view and hearing the ocean when the music is not too loud than anything else. Service has always been great — we have gone with a huge group of people — around 16 of us and service was still great. Taking one star away for the food being on the pricey side for RP… Worth at least one visit while you are on vacation!

My boyfriend and I went to The Point during a weekend trip to Puerto Penasco and ordered beer, a margarita, the Chef’s special fish + shrimp, and steak. These are our thoughts: Pros: –Free Wifi, just ask for it –Amazing view, right by the ocean –Generous serving of Ceviche, fish tasted fresh –The sauce that came with the steak dish was really flavorful, we dipped everything in it! Cons: –Margaritas tasted like it was just juice –The steak was over done, tough and bland –The fish was also overdone and flakey –The food here is pricey, going for $ 15 – 20 a dish(much more than surrounding restaurants)

Delicious food, strong margaritas! No complaints here! It wasn’t very busy, but it was a Monday night. We got the Cadillac margarita, which was great, but a little too heavy on the tequila. The service was test, they even gave us a to go cup so we could walk around and shop. We both had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce. Amazing. The rice and beans were fantastic as well!

I don’t know why we’d never come here in all the times we’ve visited the area. Maybe we thought it was too expensive or the menu wasn’t to our liking or the loud American music(we like the music, but we hear it at home). But a waiter we’d been looking for(I guess you could say we stalk(follow around) our fave people) hollered, so we went in. This is a very nice restaurant with a menu that has a couple of things we hadn’t seen before, AND the only place OVER the water. Prices seem reasonable, and the music from the bar upstairs is louder from the street than in the restaurant or on their wraparound balcony. It was a good start. We had a reservation for dinner elsewhere, so partner vowed not to eat. So much for that vow. We ordered an iced tea, a Piña Colada and mini Shrimp Chimichangas. There were 6 little chimis on a little mound of fresh guacamole, greens and chipotle cream sauce on the side. This is where partner broke his vow. I should have known when I ordered these, when Omar did the sincere, unsolicited thumbs up, that these would be great. I told him that the next time I have these, to just bring me a tray of these little suckers. Partner and I decided that although the the chipotle sauce was excellent, that the filling and the perfect, light crunchy wrap made these chimis good all by themselves. $ 17. Best money we’ve spent this trip so far. We’re going back for dinner tonight.

This restaurant deserves 5 stars if not for the views alone. The food was great– nice and fresh and the meat was well cooked. Service was also very good. We ended up eating here two of the four nights we were in Rocky Point. Would definitely go there again.

Beautiful view. Decent service. Shrimp was pretty fresh. Not outstanding but pretty good. Tortilla soup mediocre. Not a bad place to chill for a cocktail or two but probably won’t go back. Lots of other places to try.

The view is spectacular but it was pretty windy when we were there and ended up moving tables. Two of us ordered the steamed clams and unfortunately they ran out. They brought out the few they did have on the house and they were absolutely delicious. I ordered the fish ajillo which was very garlicky and not very spicy. I’d order shrimp next time. Be aware you are paying more for the view, prices were $ 12 – 20 a plate which seemed high for the food we ended up with.

Restaurant on stilts in the harbor at Puerto Penasco was mediocre at best. Wait staff was seemingly rushed even though the restaurant was only half full. To their credit they eventually settled into a rhythm and rotated back through to our table more consistently. The food is why the restaurant gets only two stars. Ceviche not impressive/blah for a location known for its fresh seafood. Coconut shrimp and breaded shrimp were good but the accompanying vegetables were cold, hadn’t seen warm in quite some time. Cheese enchiladas good, red sauce good and spicy but not overwhelming, served warm and beans and rice that came with the dish were cold on the plate. Draft beer for $ 3 but huge margarita at $ 5 seemed reasonable for the size. Guacamole appetizer very fresh and tasty served with thick fresh chips = best part of the meal. Bill for 6 with one alcohol drink for three, two appetizers, one main plate each was about $ 115 minus tip. Sat on the patio seaside and was very windy and at our end of the patio the debris from other diners tended to bounce right past our legs and feet. Spilled a little water and wiped the table with a napkin that came back black. Restrooms not spotless but cleaner than the table top.

Hola, the food was just okay but the drinks were double the price of the bars on the strip where the view is just as good.

The food was very good. Had a good taste, the meats were well cooked. The view next to the ocean is fantastic. The birds try to eat ur food, its like paradise. The reason I’m giving it a 4 star its because they would not accept my pennys to pay but they can accept nickels and dimes. But besides that, the food is great.

The views alone are worth the five stars. The food was very good, but not the highlight of our visit. We came on a Sunday night around sunset time, and thought for sure we’d be waiting awhile for a table. It was rather empty and we were surprisingly seated immediately outside on the deck. Everything we ate was very good, especially the seafood. Our total bill, including appetizers, entrees, drinks, and a dessert was about $ 50(two people). Service was very friendly, my wife was serenaded by a very nice quartet of musicians, and… did I mention the views???

We are regular’s in Rocky Point and needed a new spot for Father’s day. WOW– food was really yummy. The Mexican shrimp cocktail was outstanding, and the white fish wrapped in foil with vegetables and clamato juice was amazing. The kids were sick of Mexican food so they went for the chicken tenders and fries basket. There must have been 9 pieces of chicken in each basket. It was worth the price. The enchiladas were great, according to my husband.

Great cheese enchiladas, salsa was too hot for me, bathrooms were not clean, dirty pigeons crawling under your feet. Good Mexican food, view, and good service.
